Hello again, it is always nice to come back with you, today I want to show you, the project I made with my youngest daughter. I hope you remember that she is in the 1st level of preschool and this time we had to prepare everything for an exhibition in her closing project of her English classes.
Hola nuevamente, siempre es agradable regresar con ustedes, hoy les quiero mostrar, el proyecto que realice con mi hija menor. Espero que recuerden que ella cursa el 1er nivel de preescolar y esta vez nos tocó, preparar todo para una exposición en su cierre de proyecto de sus clases de inglés.
Framed in the project, each house a school, for the closing it was time to work with the vocabulary of the parents. The activity consisted in the children making a video, with the help of their parents, of course. In this video, they had to sing a song where they demonstrated the command of the vocabulary, referring to the family, in English.
Enmarcado en el proyecto, cada casa una escuela, para el cierre le toco trabajar con el vocabulario de los parientes. La actividad consistía, en que los niños debían realizar un video, con ayuda de sus padres, por supuesto. En dicho video, ellos tenían que cantar una canción donde demostraran el dominio del vocabulario, referente a la familia, en inglés.
In addition to the video, the children, again with the help of their parents, had to draw up a family tree of their family, the design was free. The situation was a bit complicated because, I didn't have a photograph of all the relatives, closest, of course, that fit the size I needed.
Además del video, los niños, nuevamente con ayuda de sus padres, se debía elaborar un árbol genealógico de su familia, el diseño era libre. La situación se complico un poco porque, no tenía fotografía de todos los familiares, más cercanos, por supuesto, que se ajustaran al tamaño que necesitaba.
At home, he had no way to print them, because the printers ran out of color ink. Also, I didn't have a way to print them because of the quarantine restrictions, so I had to improvise. The tree, was left with a retro touch, but no way, had to squeeze the little black ink left in the printer and print the photos in black and white.
En casa, no tenía como imprimirlas, porque las impresoras se quedaron sin tinta a color. Tampoco, tenía como mandarlas a imprimir por las restricciones de la cuarentena, así que toco improvisar. El árbol, quedo con un toque retro, pero ni modo, se tuvo que exprimir la poca tinta negra que le queda a la impresora e imprimir las fotos en blanco y negro.
But in the end, I think it was a good retro touch, don't you think? It allowed the images to stand out against the colorful background, which we built. The materials I used were the ones I found by hand. Colored paper pieces, with which we cut a kind of frame to place the photographs on top.
Pero a la final creo que quedo bien el toque retro… ¿no les parece?. Permitió que resaltaran las imágenes sobre el fondo colorido, que construimos. Los materiales que utilicé, fueron los que encontré a mano. Pedacitos de papel de colores, con los que cortamos una especie de marco para colocar encima las fotografías.
My daughter had to write every word in the vocabulary, by the way, I must clarify, she can't write yet, she's only four years old. I had to make a kind of plane, with dotted lines, so that she could go over each of the words, and then cut and paste them on the tree.
Mi hija, debía escribir cada una de las palabras del vocabulario, por cierto, debo aclarar, aún no sabe escribir, solo tiene cuatro añitos recién cumplidos. Me toco realizar una especie de plana, con trazos punteados, de forma que ella pudiera repasar cada una de las palabras, para luego cortar y pegarlos en el árbol.
We already had everything, even the idea of how we would draw the tree, but... There is always a, BUT, we lacked the cardboard to build the project. Because of so many activities, we don't have the means to come up with it again. I remembered that I had some yellow folders saved, that I had left from some works, that I was given. That was the solution, I joined two folders with adhesive tape and with that, I got more or less the size of half a cardboard.
Ya teníamos todo, incluso la idea de cómo dibujaríamos el árbol, pero… Siempre hay un, PERO, nos faltaba la cartulina para armar el proyecto. Por tantas actividades, ya no tenemos, ni modo, otra vez a ingeniársela. Recordé, que tenía unas carpetas amarillas guardadas, que me quedaron de unos trabajos, que me entregaron. Esa, fue la solución, uní con cinta adhesiva dos carpetas y con ello, obtuve más o menos el tamaño de media cartulina.
With the place to set everything up, the rest was to put my daughter to color with her pencils. Then, she had to glue everything to the cardboard and the family tree was ready, so that she could make her exhibition. By the way, thank God, it was excellent. For now, I say goodbye, hoping that you will like this new project, within this adventure, of educating my daughters in quarantine.
Ya con el lugar donde armar todo, el resto, fue poner a mi hija a que coloreara con sus lápices de colores. Luego, que pegara todo a la cartulina y el árbol genealógico estaba listo, para que realizara su exposición. Por cierto, gracias a Dios, le quedo excelente. Por ahora, me despido, esperando que les gustara este nuevo proyecto, dentro de esta aventura, de educar a mis hijas en cuarentena.
