The majestic Cachamay waterfall, gives its name to the park that I have the pleasure of showing you today through my photographs. Located on the banks of the Caroní River, its 52 hectares turn it into a wonderful natural vantage point that enables visitors to admire the exceptional rapids of the lower Caroní, as well as the spectacular Cachamay and La Llovizna Falls.
El majestuoso salto Cachamay, le da nombre al parque que tengo el placer de mostrarles hoy a través de mis fotografías. Ubicado a orillas del río Caroní sus 52 hectareas lo convierten en un maravilloso mirador natural que permite admirar los excepcionales rápidos del bajo Caroní, además de los espectaculares saltos Cachamay y La Llovizna.
Its beautiful vegetation, together with the impressive 800 meters wide Cachamay Falls, make it a natural spectacle worth admiring. I had the pleasure of visiting this amazing place at the beginning of 2010, my eldest daughter was barely 6 months old. It was a phenomenal family trip and of which I keep very fond memories, its spaces allow you to enjoy a special day.
Su hermosa vegetación junto a los impresionante 800 metros de ancho del salto Cachamay, lo convierten en un espectáculo natural digno de admirar. Tuve el placer de conocer este sorprendente lugar a principios del año 2010, mi hija mayor apenas tenía 6 mesesitos de edad. Fue un viaje familiar fenomenal y del cual guardo muy gratos recuerdos, sus espacios permiten disfrutar de un día especial.
According to what I could investigate this park is catalogued as a scenic park, and its creator was Rafael Mendoza Olavarría, who fell in love with the place and its waterfalls. He intervened its natural spaces to build hiking trails that would allow visitors to enjoy long walks through which they could observe the impressive force of nature, represented in the turbulent waters of the lower Caroní.
Según lo que pude investigar este parque está catalogado como parque escénico, y su creador fue Rafael Mendoza Olavarría, quien se enamoró del lugar y sus saltos de agua. Intervino sus espacios naturales para construir caminerías, que permitieran disfrutar de extensos recorridos a través de los cuales, se puede observar la impresionante fuerza de la naturaleza, representadas en las turbulentas aguas del bajo Caroní.
The beautiful natural landscapes that surround the natural spectacle produced by the wonderful waterfalls, represent a natural oasis in the middle of the city. It groups a good representation of the flora and fauna native to this type of forest. It even has an archaeological site considered one of the most important in the Lower Caroní, which must be specially cared for and preserved for future generations.
Los hermosos paisajes naturales que rodean el espectáculo natural producido por los maravillosos saltos de agua, representan un oasis natural en medio de la ciudad. Agrupa una buena representación de la flora y la fauna autóctona de este tipo de bosques. Incluso, cuenta con un sitio arqueológico considerado uno de los más importantes del Bajo Caroní, que debe ser especialmente cuidado y conservado, para futuras generaciones.
