The slow decay of Salvadorian society.

President Nayib Bukele announced a few weeks ago that is going to reelect himself again despite the constitution not allowing it. He will bend the law if he must continue in power, and you can bet that people will vote again for him, and the problem will only be just slightly apparent once they discover that he is running for life on an ever-ending circle of 5 years at a time. But by that time it will be too late and power will be much concentrated so much so that he could become the only candidate to run in all elections, just like many dictatorships already do.

The people are content with the new president because he is attacking the gang's problems and putting them in prison. Gang members were and are not angels at all they are criminals with offenses that certainly call for capital punishment, but even if a gang member was the evilest person that person still deserves to be treated as a human being even when he didn't give that opportunity to his or her victims. Even monsters deserve a fair trial and deserve a chance to defend themselves and they certainly deserve whatever punishment the law may offer them, but still, they are humans.

Salvadorians want and feel happy that gang members are suffering inside prisons and some people publicly admit that they should suffer even more for the damage they did in the past, the problem is that way of thinking is not thirsty for justice but instead a thirsty for revenge, and want to be dictators will exploit any chance they may get into summiting a population to deactivation of human rights as well as indifference in the poor treatment of other human beings.

Dictators want to make sure that the population loses their sense of humanity because they want to stay in power forever and want to make sure no one challenges their position, and if someone dares to do so they are made an example by giving them the most punishment that the population allows.

In other words, what Salvadorians are allowing to be done to gangsters today that same allowance will be made once they try to protest the future dictator that is now openly trying to take the whole of the country.

I must declare that I am not a gang member, and I do understand the evil they did in the past, but I also understand that revenge is not justice, and I also understand that dictators will play with the population's emotions, and will enact laws that at first will seem reasonable just to later discover those laws were enacted too to prevent any protest in the future once a dictatorship is known and in the open and for everyone to see and understand.

Hopefully, enough people will understand what I am writing and will demand justice for the gang members already in prison as well as their victims by passing judgment and being as humanly as possible. Without having to desensitize society to violence from the government to citizens who already can't do anything to protect themselves because they are already in prison and without freedom.

What kind of treatment is offered to gang members in prison that you are not happy with, any examples?

The humiliation of the human body. Gang members parade to the public one after another together even when the pandemic was still a thing. They are put in jails like sardines.

They are already captured and have lost their freedom there is no need for further humiliation.

And there is the case for people who are innocent and still they stay longer than what they should I am talking not about gang members at this point but regular citizens who had nothing to do with it but got captured by mistake or simple misinformation.

If you are Salvadorian right now you have no rights whatsoever because the current situation is being extended by over 7 months now, and those that have been caught probably won't be compensated even if they are found not guilty of any crime.

How can the Salvadorians get rid of President Nayib Bukele somehow from becoming president again?

They must not vote for him but many are in love with him because he is controlling the gang members. The problem will be after the first mandate is done that he will be violating the constitution and probably will do it again for the third time and so on. And any other candidate will be eliminated before running like Maduro and all other dictators do.

Insurrection is a crime that you pay with death or jail, he should sit with the criminals once he re-elects himself and if found guilty he should be given a capital penalty (death) too.
