I am taking a look into SmartBCH tokens, Verse by Bitcoin.com.
I am trying to raise some FlexUSD tokens to have some fiat ready for when the verse token comes to the open public if I see that the decentralized exchange has potential. So far, I have been consuming some content to read about Verse to understand the token itself better and see if it will add value to my life and if the dex will help make my crypto journey much more effortless.
I left SmartBCH and went to Bitcoin Rootstock RSK because of the lack of good dexes and their tokens. I bought Mist in the past and decided to dump it because I wouldn't say I like its tokenomics. To be specific, I'm not too fond of the idea of infinite inflation. The same applies to almost all decentralized exchanges tokens; they all rely on inflation to pay investors. I would add that some dexes decided to have a minimal capped supply that, in the end, competes with the BCH mantra. You want your dex token to have a limited supply but not a total supply that competes with Bitcoin Cash. A pool between or less than 50 million competes directly with Bitcoin Cash and may try to circumvent that which is excellent about BCH, limited supply and store of value once enough people understand that it is not just about number going up but also your philosophy behind a project.
The other reason I left SmartBCH was that many dexes lack features, you have the essential things like swapping, yield farming, and staking, but after that, you will have a complex problem trying to do something else. Sovryn, on the other hand, has almost everything, spot trading, swapping, leverage, perpetual, and even stable coins backed by Bitcoin, not to mention zero-interest loans. Many SmartBCH dexes lack the features I said before, so I hope Verse will be slightly different in this regard. They come from an established centralized exchange and will have enough funds to create and replicate the features mentioned before but with SmartBCH instead of other sidechains.
Now Verse, from what I am reading for far, will have a total supply of 210 billion tokens, but I haven't researched if voters could change that once the protocol grows or if it will be written on stone. I think it is time for SmartBCH to have a decent exchange with a modest total supply. One of the reasons I am excited about Verse is that it is not trying to be a ponzinomic token with a lot of inflation. Now about the features, I will have to continue reading to see what they bring to the table.
This article is not meant for you to be a sale speech but a heads up to what is to come to Smart Bitcoin Cash and an invitation to do your homework before buying the sale B. SmartBCH needs a feature-rich dex, and if Verse is that dex, then it will be a good idea to purchase and hold the token.
If you divide 21 billion tokens by 33.6 million, it will give a final result of about $0.0016, and the price initial investors give to the token. Still, the tricky thing will be to invest your money to discover that developers will add features the dex months or years after you buy. In the meantime, you will have a token that can only do a few things while other DeFi protocols like Sovryn and company can do much more. DeFi is building competitors, so you better buy a project with developers working fast to bring new features as quickly as possible and with an established roadmap.
I am optimistic about this new dex, but I am also a realistic person, and I will not abandon Sovryn to have yet another dex that is years from being built and complete. I expect to do what I can already do with Sovryn within the next two years or less; otherwise, Verse will be just another incomplete dex token in the SmartBCH network, just like many in the MarketcapCash list.
