They don't have to hide their hunger, they don't have to suppress it... they don't do it anyway, they are hungry and travelling 24/7 in a bloodthirsty state! They don't care what they wear, where they go, how they live, they only have to protect their "brain" because they survive by thinking.

Menemen is one of the most practical and oldest Turkish dishes. It was one of the most cost-effective dishes before the inflation monster came to life, is it still so? I don't know!
It can be made only with tomatoes, peppers, eggs and optionally onions can be added. I'm not going to get into the debate about whether menemen is better with or without onions, we already have enough debates! 😆
...but the onion-onionless debate is still going on here. I like it both ways, I add onion when I have time, when I don't, I prefer it without onion.
If it is to be made with onion, first add finely chopped onions to the hot oil and fry until they turn pink. If it is to be made without onion, add diced tomatoes and chillies directly. I prefer hot chillies!
After a short while, break the eggs on it, optionally stir it when the eggs are added, I do not stir it because I like the eggs whole on top.
The preparation and cooking phase is completed in a short time like 15 minutes on average. I told you it was practical!

Life, Cinema, Reality and Fiction
I like to watch films when I have time or when I can't sleep. The time I devote to sleep is usually between 6-8 hours. Most of the time 6 hours! Although the waking up phase is a bit difficult, I am not enthusiastic about going back to bed after waking up.

Following some film and TV series oriented stories and taking my share in watching them has become an increasing hobby for me in the last few years. Most of the time, I prefer a film rather than a TV series because I don't like the story to drag on into the following weeks or seasons, so I'm impatient!
The downtrend in crypto markets and the fact that we are in a bear market, uncontrolled wallets, Buy/Sell transactions have resulted in the shelving of most cryptos. At least it is for me, which means more time for me.

When I have time and I can put the crypto issue aside; I can be a lazy "filmaholic" because I don't get bored watching films.
I find it attractive to be a guest of action, drama, sci-fi stories of fictional creatures and people in a fictional world. When the story is taken from real life, the attraction increases even more.
While watching a film, seeing non-existent creatures and people struggling for a purpose in a non-existent world triggers a sense of curiosity about the continuation of the story. You don't look for reality in the scenes of such films because we know that the space and roles are just stories built on fiction. In stories where real lives are told, on the other hand, in the smallest scene; as soon as I see a departure from reality, it can be remarkable and the questioning begins. Would this happen in reality? Is this the way to behave?

Or it's like questioning the scene of the electricity pylons in a film about 500 years ago! A shot made in the wrong place and from the wrong angle! In an instant, it can cause the film to lose the whole story and the attraction of watching. It is such an important mistake that the film, which has been watched up to a point, can even be turned off at that moment!
I don't know how many people remember the rape scene of the world-famous film "No Exit" and the scene where the rapist's head was crushed with a fire extinguisher tube, but these two scenes made the film very talked about. The reason why I call it world famous is because of the irony of these conversations. I don't agree with the criticism that the scenes for both the rape and the aftermath are exaggerated. I think if you are making a real film, you have to make it real, from drug use to rape to the murder scene. If the rape scene was cancelled, the killing scene could have been cancelled too!

I keep hearing about the ever-updating trial and error methods regarding online fraud cases. I haven't had the chance to experience it so far, but that doesn't mean it won't happen forever! I hope not!
Since yesterday I've been having a problem with both the physical and virtual store of a company about a product they think I gave them. I mean, I have a membership on the store's website, I've bought several products there in the past, I can see all of them when I log in to the membership, but... lastly, a mobile phone was ordered from me late last month... even though it wasn't me who did it, I'm seen as me!
Is it the company's vigilance to make a sale? Or is it a simple attempt to defraud? I don't know these things... the only thing I know is the preliminary information that an order is placed to buy a mobile phone and that the payment will be made in 3 instalments. Since payment and delivery are preferred to be personalised at the door, the option of being defrauded is disabled.
I didn't place the order or anyone in my close circle is unlikely to do so because they don't know my contact and passwords. My phone never falls out of my hand even for a moment, it does not touch other hands!

The simple thought of who would receive and pay for a product that they did not order (!) leads me to exonerate the company. When I phoned customer service, they said that the order was made online and that they could see the time and date of the order. Can you reach from the IP address? They avoided giving a clear answer to the question. When I said that I could take the case to the judiciary, they said that there was no damage and that the order was cancelled at my request.
That's right! There is no product received! Therefore, there's no harm done to either party!

I invite everyone who has time for a good interaction and fun-filled time to participate in the tournament. I have interesting memories of the selected games of draughts and chess. Those who know Turkish culture also know the coffeehouse culture here. To have fun there, we used to organise nightly checkers tournaments with our circle of friends and other people who came to the coffeehouse. We used to apply reward and punishment at the same time, such as offering 1 month of free tea to the winner and making the losers pay for all the tea drunk in the coffeehouse that night.
Since the average participant was 8 - 10 people, there was a fine line between being the winner and being one of the losers. With the hustle and bustle of life and the responsibilities of growing up, I cannot do similar activities, but I still miss them when I remember.
My memory of chess dates back to my primary school days. When my teacher explained the pieces and the rules to me, I found it very strange. At that time, I only knew checkers and the tasks of the pieces and the progress of the game were very different from checkers. What I found most strange was that the game ended as soon as the king was taken.
So why should I bother taking other pieces? I should aim directly at the king. These thoughts simply did not materialise when the game started... but nevertheless I have always adopted an attacking strategy.
First I would clear the way for my king and queen, giving them room to move, then I would bring both knights forward and aim directly at the opponent's king. My knights were protected by bishops and rooks. I would always offer the opponent the option of losing one of his precious pieces in exchange for taking my knight. All this would cause me to either lose the game quickly or win it quickly. I don't remember any of my games lasting long, but for similar reasons it has been a long time since I played chess.
I very rarely play backgammon during home visits, but since we do that in between chats and tea, it doesn't take up any extra time.

For years we did not realise the value of living together and being able to do our daily activities. A simple covid process taught us a great lesson in a short time. Is every village really a village?

One of the most important reasons why I like village life is that there are many areas that preserve their naturalness, but not every village! Some villages resemble the suburbs of a big city with their horizontal and primitive structures in terms of close and sprawling houses/streets.
Concrete houses, concrete pavements, concrete streets and concrete gardens ... what's the point of living in a village if you can't walk with your feet on the ground?
In many villages that have preserved their natural character, there are still stone-built houses with large gardens and tiled roofs. Having a large garden allows you to cultivate the garden, produce your own eggs and have a cow from which you can buy your own milk.
In order to receive public services, cable networks that spoil the natural character of the village, like cobwebs, cover the minority of streets, further spoiling the visual appearance. Looking carefully at the surroundings of the village, it is possible to understand what the people in the village do for a living. The livelihood of a village/family/household is important for sustainable life. It is easy to reach the source of livelihood wherever production is based.
It is not just about producing and selling. Growing your own vegetables, producing your own eggs, being able to buy your own milk and dairy products will support a life without money for weeks. Sowing and growing wheat means producing your own flour. The flour you have is the ability to make your own bread.
There are villages that are able to fulfil all these requirements and keep the scales in a delicate balance in their sustainable life, as well as villages that have adopted the life in concrete structures in the city. The villages in the first example are highly developed economically and socially, while the villages in the other example consist of those who can barely manage to make a living.
I think the most common example is the cicada and the ant.

Jealousy of the dog's place!
During a home visit last week, I took pictures of the dog I saw while climbing the stairs. He must have realised that his pictures were being taken, because he looked at me without moving from his place.
The dog was lazing around in the most spectacular place of the detached, single-storey house and did not seem to be acting with a protective instinct by nature. The closed garden and gate of the house was an indication that no one was home, and while it was normally expected to bark at anyone approaching the garden and try to drive them away, I admired his indifferent attitude and his behaviour of enjoying his place.
Maybe the heat had something to do with it. Maybe he was on strike because of the insufficiency of the food provided or the lack of variety, but in any case, it was clear that he was not doing his duty. There was no dissatisfaction with the situation and there was a dog enjoying his holiday.
It reminded me of my laziness during seasonal transitions, especially in winter. When the intensity is experienced one after the other, the need for a holiday makes itself felt intensely both physically and mentally.
The fact that the summer months will continue to be intense and the fact that we are still in the middle of the summer season reveals the fact that there will be no alleviation in work intensity. It will stagnate a little in autumn and become even rarer in winter, giving way to long lazy days.

I admit my incompetence in time management at every opportunity. When the intensity of work times is added to all these, management turns into unmanagement in a sense. While two different jobs are completed on the same day, such as making straw from the stalks of the wheat being mown and transporting it to the animal farms and transporting the tomatoes picked in the field to the sales points on the same day, the necessity of creating time in a lack of time causes us to sacrifice the time that is thought to be spent sleeping. At such times, it becomes impossible to even come home and we end up camping at the place where we are busy.
The fact that the intensity experienced is not continuous, but only in certain seasons and at certain times as a result of work conflicts makes the seemingly unbearable intensity bearable. Only while travelling between villages or fields, we have the opportunity to rest and relax our tired muscles. Since we know that the intensity is temporary, all negativity becomes enjoyable for us. When we divide our work into average daily working hours, we come across the fact that we work less than many people in terms of time. Depending on the seasons, we also experience boring days when we take weeks off and hit the bottom of laziness. In this whole process, our biggest advantage is that we do the job with love and the time spent contributes to the transformation of fatigue or other possible negative effects into fun. Because we have a job that has continuity and is not easily affected by crises.
Being a food supplier for humans or animals helps us to know more closely the price difference between where the product is grown and where the product is purchased for use and to understand who the real winners are.
