A beagle named Buffy came as a result of an accident of a female Beagle that we had before her. We gave that female for mating and after seven days when we were supposed to take her, a man who had a male for mating told us that his light bulb caught fire. puppies and that several dogs suffocated from the smoke among them and our female.
Then he gave us as a replacement Buffy.
This dog is very good-natured and tolerates our four grandchildren playing with him. Two grandchildren in particular "harass" him, but she stoically endures it.
She only barks at cats even when some horse walks down the street. She is not aggressive towards people who enter the yard through the gate. Which I don't like.
