Fake news! The website tells me campaigns start in 16 hours :) EDIT: not fake news anymore because you changed the title ;) Good job guys!
*for some values of "live" Thanks!
Outstanding, very impressive work, looking forward to where this can take us.
BCHN developers have worked very hard on Flipstarter. Respect yourselves and list BCHN first in node campaign lists like the above. I will pledge 5 BCH the first day if you do.
But BCH uses lexical sorting! What do?
Custom lexicon
Do-Re-Me🎵 C-A-B🎵 1-2-3🎵 Baby you and me🎵 This could work.
I was almost translating it, But this is a small post, and don't need it, also the video is in english, Nice work guys
@emergent_reasons so great to see __LIVE__ flipstarter campaigns 🤩 i am just becoming aware of the funding limitations regarding the NUMBER of contributors supported per campaign and its affect on the MINIMUM size of the donations (especially the early ones) .. eg. __[bchn.flipstarter.cash](https://bchn.flipstarter.cash)__ is currently 1.553 BCH (or $360.70) first question, __"what's the maximum # of participants based on tx size limits?"__ second question, __"why not split the campaigns into smaller/task-specific blocks to allow for smaller donations?"__ fyi, nito.cash would NOT be ideal for such large donation sizes (at least NOT for some time, __much more dev/testing needed__); so that's where I'm coming from with this .. but, i imagine at some level, the donations will reach the sub-$100 range, which is where I'm positioning the use of nito anyhoo, congrats to the whole flipstarter team 👏 i already know this is going to be so HUGE for the BCH community at large 🙏
> what's the maximum # of participants based on tx size limits? It's around 650 and that is the number we use. > why not split the campaigns into smaller/task-specific blocks to allow for smaller donations? Definitely possible in two ways. 1) run separate campaigns (anyone can self-run a campaign) or 2) upgrade the flipstarter code so that one campaign can have sub-campaigns with each one as acting as an assurance contract. To be clear, if the commitment is one package, then it makes less sense to split them up. Then the campaign operator becomes a kind of custodian, making this pretty pointless compared to a much more simple custodial solution like bitcoincom uses. > fyi, nito.cash would NOT be ideal for such large donation sizes It is one of the many reasons we went with Electron Cash at the very beginning. It holds the majority of large wallets and has proven safety with years of operation and abuse. > anyhoo, congrats to the whole flipstarter team Thank you! We appreciate you working on making nito.cash work with it. Hopefully we can have some success here and move things forward. I think you have had some other ideas and I hope you will pursue those also or start contributing directly to flipstarter.
> It's around 650 and that is the number we use. __okay, thanks!__ I'll use that number to start forecasting my own projections. > I think you have had some other ideas and I hope you will pursue those also or start contributing directly to flipstarter. absolutely! i know you guys are working on new smart contracts for flipstarter v2; more than happy to help with testing (not so comfortable with writing Script just yet) .. and I'd also like to help with a "Discovery Platform", as I noticed flipstarter.cash still points to read.cash. __quick question:__ "what's next in terms of campaigns? have any other projects expressed interest?" just curious cheers!
choice! wonderful!
Cool idea. Hopefully easier process in time. Will take a better look at this tomorrow. But I like it a lot. :)
