Mararison Island

Mararison, also known as Malalison, is an island beach located in the Municipality of Culasi, Province of Amtique. According to local legend, Mararison is one of the offsprings of Madya'as and Kanlaon, the two highest peaks in Western Visayas. Mararison Island is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Antique. It's beautiful sandbar and scenic landscape make it an ideal destination for summer vacations and trekking activities.

Davao City

Davao City is now officially the 'Cacao Capital of the Philippines' as declared by the Department of Agriculture(DA) last September 7, 2020. The City has been a consistent major producer of Cacao beans - producing a total of 2,289.74 metric tons from 2015-2019, or 38% of the region's contribution of chocolate source. Apart from this declaration, Davao City also won the Most Outstanding City in the Regional Organic Agriculture Achievers Award 2020.

Butuan City

Butuan City is a highly urbanized city, located at the northeastern part of Agusan Valley, Mindanao. For visitors who are not familiar with how it is pronounced, usually reads it as Boo-tu-an. This gets funny faces from the locals. As Boo-tu-an, in the Visayan dialect would correlate to the human male organ. The next time you come across this word, remember it is pronounced Bot-wan.

Pinikpikan

Pinikpikan is a dish from the mountains of the Cordillera in Luzon that is prepared by beating a live chicken with a stick prior to cooking. The beating bruises the chicken's flesh, bringing blood to its surface, which is said to improve the flavour after cooking. Pinikpikan comes from the ilocano word pekpek, meaning 'to beat repeatedly'.

Asik-Asik Falls

Asik-Asik Falls, also known as Dulao Falls, is found in Sitio Dulao of Barangay Upper Dado, Alamada, North Cotabato. Asik-asik means "sprinkle-sprinkle" in the local Hiligaynon language which describes the sprinkling of water on nearby rocks. It is widely believed that the water comes from an underground river or springs deep within the mountain.

Calaba bridge

The Calaba Bridge in Bangued, Abra, is presently one of the longest modular bridges ever built in the Philippines. It measures 900 meters and spans over the Abra River. Calaba Bridge was built to help residents to cross the river during high waters.

Kadayawan festival

Kadayawan Festival is an annual celebration held every August in Davao City. It was formerly called Apo Duwaling - a contraction of the 3 icons of Davao City: Mt Apo, Durian, and Waling Waling. It was officially renamed Kadayawan Festival in 1988 to better reflect the merry spirit and indigenous theme of the celebration. Kadayawan is derived from the traditional Dabawenyo greeting Madayaw, meaning good tidings.
