Marriage is a great relationship that bonds and helps you discover new dimensions in yourself together with the one who's willing to be with you in a lifetime. Where both of you takes a path to fulfillment and happiness in life.

What if you chose to live with the one you love without tying the knot? Does relationship changes when you lived together?

Making the decision to live with your partner is a big step. Living together without marriage, living under the same roof and doing what married couples do as well as their responsibilities. Couples who are living in this kind of setup are called live in partners also called as common law spouses. Their status can be formalize by drawing up a legal agreement called living together agreement or cohabitaion contract.

Does living with partner changes the marital status?

The answer is absolutely a No. There is no marital status in couples who are living together without marriage. Even they have kids their status remains single.

What rights do Live in partners have in living together?

Unmarried couples living together have no legal duties to support each other financially, either while they are living together or if they'll separate. They will not automatically share ownership of their possessions, savings or investments. In general, ownership is unaffected by moving in together.

What if Common-law partners decided to separate?

An unmarried couples can separate informally without the intervention of a court. If unmarried couples with kids decided to separate the child support can be agreed between separated parents. Mostly the mother is the one granted with primary rights to custody of her children. This means she has complete authority to make any major and minor decisions regarding her child's welfare.

Other people says, mostly couples who lived with partners before marriage have higher chances having a successful marriage or successful married life than to those who married before living together.

Well, for me whether married or not it is still between by who's in the relationship. Marriage is indeed sacred, but every individuals have their own choices and decision-makings in life that should be respected.

As much as living together sounds nice, i think some space should still be established, like both of you going home to parents at least once a week could be good because it could get tiring. But then living together is also like prep for marriage

Indeed it seems like being ready for the next big step of the relationship. But it requires good decision making and commitment too from both couples. And maybe we must say they're should be both legal living together and approved by in their parents too.

That approval caries with age πŸ˜‚ I've known people in the early 20s who just move in without even asking and that was brave of them too. Luckily they're all still together though

Yes, that's why marriage is important. Through marriage couples will be legally protected by the law in terms of their rights and privileges being married. Also they're living as one by God's blessing and also by the law.
