"Man up!"

"Stop acting like a girl!"

“Real men don’t cry! "

These phrases were commonly heard since long time ago and up until now. That's what society set on their minds, as we are living in the age of feminism.

From a child upto a grown up man, must not cry for they must show the strength of their manliness. They must know how to suppress their emotions. That's how men were raised, that's the norm of the man, a stigma that's hard to break.

Mostly, men feel ashame and weak when someone saw them cry. It makes them feel like, they don't belong to the society if they are emotional.

But is it really unsightly to see a man cry?

Do they really became "less than a man"?

We, the society need to understand that crying is not a sign of weakness; it is a healthy way for the body to release toxins and a way to express oneself too. Crying is a healthy way to release emotions and cleansing of the soul.

Women, since their younger age often cried easily for some weird reasons and was acceptable, because they're women, they were considered weaker and soft hearted beings.

Unlike men, they're supposed to be strong and being emotional is not applicable for them and may affect their masculinity.

But the idea of suppressing emotions is not manly at all, it is harmful.

Suppressing of emotions is not healthy. When we cry, it's a signal that our body need to address something, and suppressing it may lead to a host of addictions and mental health issues such as eating disorders, drug abuse, alcoholism, and it may lead to depression and anxiety.

Let's break the stigma!

A baby, a child or a kid, women or men, it is okay to cry. We are all humans, we have the same emotinal ranges and that's it.

It's not shameful to acknowledge the tough times your going through and asking for help, and in the end, you could give the means to others to do the same.
