A Day with Good Laughs

Every day is a new day for new beginnings and experiences. Yesterday could be different from today or tomorrow. It could be the same too if you keep on repeating what you're doing from the day that passed by. Today, I decided to take a break from my works and common tasks I face in my daily living and choose to have good laughs with my cousins. Yes, we've spent the whole morning sharing some jokes, and something laughable.

Laughter is indeed the best medicine!

I talked to my cousin whose phone got broken two days ago. I saw him sitting near the table outside our house. He looked so serious but put a smile on his face when he saw me.

“Looks like you're problematic today, cous?”

“Me? No, I'm just relaxing, I don't want to mind any problems today. I just wanna relax and feel some peace.” he answered.

And the chit-chat continues...

What I liked about my cousin is that he's a person with good humor, he loves to give everyone beside him some good laughs. And that's what I've experienced with him last morning. We talked too much, shared some memories of us during our younger days. It's just good to look back and reminisce some good memories from the past most especially of the funny moments we had. The lawn was filled with our laughter today, and some of the relatives heard us and eventually joined our fun moments.

As we keep telling some stories of before, we didn't notice the time, but we've noticed that we're starving and it's already lunchtime. As my relatives went back home, I can't erase the smile they've put on my face. I felt I'm a little crazy for smiling the whole time, remembering those moments we had. Those good laughs set my mood for the rest of the day. It's been a while since we shared some tales altogether. We're always busy with our undertakings in life and I'm glad we made to bond again.

For me, a day with good laughs is never wasted. When you are too busy chasing your dreams and goals, or busy pursuing the better life that you want, there comes a time wherein you'll forget to take a pill, a pill of laughter. Just like what we had today, my cousin whose phone was damaged forgets his problem for a moment. I, who's quite busy with my daily responsibilities and undone tasks, got stress-free for a while. It's no joke that laughing feels good, and laughter truly has benefits to us, humans.

Laughing with your loved ones, family or friends will not only lighten your mood and loads. It’s fun to share a good laugh, and it can improve your health. Though it may not cure directly any ailments or diseases it is loaded with positive things that benefit your body.

A good relaxed feeling

Sitting down with a pal next to you and sharing some good laughs will eventually make you feel relaxed. As it relieves the tension and stress in your body which makes your muscles relaxed after. You'll notice a more relaxed feeling that makes you feel a little stress-free. And because you can’t feel worried, mad, or sad when you’re laughing.

Boosts your immune system

You can add certainly add laughter to your daily dose of vitamins. As you laughed you'll notice that your feeling is a little lighter, that's because the stress hormones decreased. There's no question about that, but what's amazing about it is that it increases your immune cells and antibodies as well. Making you have improved resistance to ailments, a stronger immune system.

Effective pain reliever

Are you hurt or feeling any pain? Why not try to laugh for a while and so you'll see how laughing can help you relieve that pain you're at for a moment. Laughter triggers the release of endorphins or the natural “feeling-good” chemicals in our bodies. So, to laugh in pain could certainly temporarily relieve it.

Lightens your heavy loads and anger

Laughing with someone can truly lighten your heavy loads and anger. As laughter adds joy in life, there'll be no room for burden and anger. Laughter helps you forget bitterness, judgments, criticisms, and doubts. When you're busy and struggling with your stacked duties, a nice laugh for a minute will help you ease that pressure and stressful impression inside you. After a good laugh, you'll notice that you can now easily deal with any heavy situations you're in.

Strengthen relationships

When people share some laughter, the relationship between them is being built and boosted. It's always good to have someone to laugh with. Someone to share that good laugh and share some happy moments. When couples, groups of friends, or groupmates will share laughter altogether, the bond between members can be shaped nicely. It strengthens the bond and union of the persons who shared some chuckle. It also helps to lessen conflicts and attracts other people to smile more. You may notice or not notice that you laugh more when you're around people than being with yourself alone. And that's the power of laughter.

Makes you mentally healthy

Anyone who laughs will certainly have that good feeling after. Also, that good feeling won't fade for a minute and the positive feeling still lingers. Leaving your mental health in a healthy state. A good laugh will make you see more of the positive sides and have an optimistic outlook towards any difficulties, drawbacks, frustrations, or failure you'll be dealing with. Also, laughter gives you the courage and resilience to uncover new foundations of purpose and hope in life.

Also, don't forget that laughter will always makes you feel young and beautiful too. ❤️

So, there's no need to be too serious in life, I mean you could always have a good laugh with you. There are a lot of reasons to be happy with laughter. Find something nice in everything and anything from your reach. However, you must always keep in mind to have laughter with decent intentions. The best laugh you can have is to have someone to laugh with not to laugh at. Always put in mind and control your laughter, never offend someone or degrade some individual just to laugh at them.

Even just sitting in front of a television, facing your phone, or reading something hilarious could give you a decent subject to laugh about. Don't forget to have a day with a good laugh. Start your day with a smile, spread some humor, you don't need to spread jokes just to have something to laugh with. Surround yourself with optimistic and playful people, they're the best to share some good laughs even at a timely juncture.
