And we need to go back two weeks after for the anti-rabies shot. . . . . Naku at first time akong napupuan ng tuta. . . eh buti nalang hindi ganun kadami (nadala siguro ng stress sa biyahe), kaya ayun, napalinis at trim tuloy ung kanyang puwitan para walang sumasabit na dumi sa balahibo. . . . Pati na din sa kanyang mukha para hindi nasusundot ng buhok ang mata nya. . .
Kaninang umaga, bago magsimula ung duty ko (naka-early in para early out), kausap ko ung ate ko sa States, at nagpapatulong sa mga math questions for my nephew. . . . . naku dun ko nalaman na matindi na kalawang ko hahahaha!!!! Ang daming questions at talagang d ko agad nasagutan (well dala na din na may stats meeting by 7am), at nachallenge ako ng sobra. . . imagine may kameeting ako sa Google Meet, habang kausap ko ang ate ko sa Messenger. . . Habang nagpepresent ung nasa Australia, ako nagsasagot ng mga math questions. . . Pero totoo, kinakalawang na ako sa pagsagot. . .
I remember nung Elementary at High School ako, hindi sa pagyayabang, pero I'm one of the best students when it comes to Math. . . Even without using pen and paper, I can provide the answer within seconds. . . . I started being a Math Wizard when I was in Grade 4. . . . . Nasali ako sa Math Olympiad at kalaban ung ibang schools. . . from there, nagsunod sunod ang pagsali ko sa mga outside school math competition. . . . Pagdating ng High School, mas lalo akong na-expose sa mga competition, mapaloob o labas ng school. . . . . Kahit na may mga new comers na matitinik din sa Math. . . . . . Nanalo kami ng gold and silver medals sa Math Olympiad (2nd and 3rd yr HS un). . .
Naging substitute teacher din ako for Math nung High School, which is great. . . . I was able to teach my classmates some techniques on how to solve problems easily. . . I also remember na naging tutor ako ng buong barkada kada may quarterly exams kami. . . So every night before the exam date, nagstay kami sa isang place, then nagsesetup kami ng classroom (with matching blackboard pa), at dun namin sisimulan ung inuman session (joke lang hehehe), ung tutorial sessions. . . Every topic, I will explain to them, then give an example, then ask them questions kung hindi malinaw. . .. Tapos ung mga problems sa book, sasagutin namin ulit isa isa para makita namin kung naiintindihan ba o hindi ung problem. . . Even my cousin and her friends asked me to teach them as well, so nangyayari, after ng tutorial sa barkada, pupunta ako sa bahay ng pinsan ko (walking distance, mga 5 to 7 minutes walk), then magtuturo ako sa kanila. . . . . Kahit ung mga kapatid ng barkada ko, nagpaturo na din sa akin kung panu magsolve ng problem nang mas madali. . .
For 4 years in high school, I would say na proud ako sa tulong na ginawa ko para sa kanila pagdating sa Math. . . . Sabi nila kasi mahirap daw ang Math, pero personally, hindi mahirap. . . Nakakatulong kasi ang Math na madevelop ung analytic thinking at ung better reasoning abilities natin. . . . Kaya every problem in life, parang Math problem ang tingin ko. . . Have to think of ways to find the answer. . . nasa perspective nalang kung panu tignan ang problema. . .
By the way, nung graduation for High School, I got a medal for Excellence in Mathematics. . . Oh d b, nagbunga ung pagiging adik sa numbers hehehehe. . . . I still have the medal together with the other medals achieved in various competitions. .. Oh I really missed being a high school student. . .
So anyway, my nephew got a score of 97.5% on his module, and very glad for it. . . 100% maybe a nice number to see, but better not to. . . . . Kasi hindi pwede laging perfect. . . there has to be a place for improvement. . .
