I am not an expert in the field of crypto but I would rate my own knowledge and experience as an amateur in the filed of Digital Currency. Being a community member of read.cash and some forums like that you would have noticed a remarkable new addition of SmartBCH in the market having features of both the main stream Block chains i.e. BTC (Bitcoin) and ETH (Ethereum). To be well versed with this emerging technology you have to know some terms that are commonly used in the related content on the web.

I always got problem understanding the new terms of Digital currency and had to search and under stand all of them individually on the internet, which is surely time consuming and hectic. So I always had a though to collect all these abbreviations of crypto related words, abbreviations and phrases on a single page and make things easy to understand for newbies like me.

Where as on the other hand Centralized exchange has all the transactions into their own account and from their account, So if any owner of centralized exchange want to close his business money of people are wasted like in the Turkey earlier this year as reported here.

  • DYOR (Do Your Own Research)

This is an abbreviation you will often find under the article of most of the crypto bloggers where they may suggest or show their concern regarding any coin. If in any case if someone loses any amount due to blindly following their observation they may get the blame of loses. So every one has his own observation depending upon different parameters, it is always advised Not to trust any one blindly.

  • FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out)

Mostly in the new projects and some how during the dips, FOMO comes in and makes people do the wrong decision, where they feel to be at a very promising position and do not want to miss the opportunity, they fall trapped. So in these situations I would also suggest DYOR. ;)

  • FUD (Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt )

This is a position where people are not that much eager as they are in FOMO but they have doubt about the upcoming situations and not pretty much sure about the real outcome of the prevailing situation. You may call the current market position of BTC as FUD.

  • FOK (Fill Or Kill)

FOK is a type of order that means if the posted order is completed fully it will be executed other wise whole order shall be stand cancelled/killed i.e. no partial entertainment of order is allowed in this form of order.

  • ATH (All Time High)

Highest price of any coin or stock that was recorded is marked as ATH of that coin or Stock and considered as its maximum worth until and unless this ATH is broken for a new ATH.

  • IBO (Initial Bounty Offering)

IBO is a process where a new crypto currency or coin is launched and offered to people for investment of their skills and their resource to make it a successful venture. In return all these people get a percentage shares by getting coins of the newly created currency/token.

  • ICO (Initial Coin Offering)

When all the initial work of any coin is completed and its white paper etc are completed and ready for subscription offering in Public, It is called ICO. Amount of coin offered and price of the coin is decided during ICO. If a coin is oversubscribed it is possible that people may not get any coin during ICO, similarly it is also possible that coin is undersubscribed. However undersubscription is bad impact of any coin during ICO.

  • IDO (Initial DEX Offering)

After IBO and ICO newly developed coins are listed in the exchange this process is called IDO. Early Subscribers and Bounty holders are free to trade their coins in the DEX after IDO.
