This is the entrance to Haw Par Villa, a mythical park in Singapore with sculptures artistically portraying stories and events based on famous Chinese historical personalities, mythology, legends, and folklore. It was the vision of Aw Boon Haw. He and his brother Aw Boon Par were known as Tiger Balm Kings. Haw Par Villa, named after the two Aw brothers (Haw + Par), opened its doors to the public in 1937, after construction that cost more than a million dollars at the time.
