A day in Tagaytay

May 28, 2021 Friday - First attempt to write this article. And finished it today June 2, 2021.

I think I have already shared this experience here but I just want to do some reminiscin.

Throwbackphoto : Starbucks Tagaytay

This was taken in December of 2019 when me and some of my workmates went to Manila and stayed there for 1 week to work on our EW site. This was after a typhoon came to CamSur that caused blackouts and internet connections were down.

Apparently, we were told that Starbucks in Tagaytay has the best view. Without us knowing that there's actually a couple of Starbuck in Tagaytay City!! 😅 It was Sunday morning when some of our workmates decided to go to Taytay Rizal to buy clothes and other accesories. While I've been in Taytay for a couple of times because my nephews stayed there before and I always visit them almost every 2 months. So from Bicol to Taytay, I always travel alone.

I am still thinking if I'm going to Taytay or somewhere else. One colleague has relatives in General Trias, Cavite and said that he will visit them and maybe we can go to Tagaytay afterwards. 3 of us agreed that we are going to Cavite instead of Rizal. It's not my first time in Eastwood but I am not that familiar with the place so we had difficulties finding a ride. Eventually, we manage to ride a Jeepney going to Cubao then we walked past Gateway.

Anyway, the ride was quite long because we are not familiar with the places we went to. After an 2 hours, we finally reached Tagaytay, and one of my workmates wanted to eat lomi batangas. There were a lot of restaurants there that offers lomi batangas. But since we are on a budget we just chose a small store that has a signage lomi batangas. We ordered three lomi batangas and we didn't expect that it is a lot. We were able to finish it after 30 minutes or so. It was lunch time that time so it's just the right time to eat .

After a few minutes we decided to look for the starbucks cafe that are friend mentioned. She said that the taal lake view is very beautiful. So we first went to the nearest starbucks and it was already full. We decided to stay and order something but while waiting on the line another friend told me that we should just go to a different cafe. We all agreed that we will look for another cafe and so we went out and decided to walk period what's good about walking in tagaytay is the weather there is not very hot. It is noon time but we were able to walk freely without the use of an umbrella or without looking for any shade. It's also windy because tagaytay is on a higher place compared to manila so the wind is clean.

We walk upwards going towards sky ranch tagaytay and eventually we found another starbucks cafe and its a bigger one. There were spaces on the outside part of the cafe where it's an overlooking of the taal lake so we decided to just stayed there. I ordered my favorite drink in starbucks which is a java chip frappe. It is just cream base because i am avoiding coffee but still the taste is really delicious.

I have a funny experience in starbucks. Because during our stay in manila we are required to gather receipts like food receipts that we need to consolidate for billing purposes in our office. So apparently i asked the lady on the other table if they're going to use the receipts. I'm so shameless when he did that. But yeah they don't need the receipt so they give it to me and was able to use it.

After our stay in starbucks with his cited to look for another place where we can spend the afternoon. I was thinking of picnic grove but it was too far from where we are so the nearest place is sky ranch tagaytay. It was so nice because we only walked going to sky ranch and again it's very easy to walk because it's not hot and we enjoyed that walk. Also it was traffic that afternoon so it's better to walk.

Finally after 20 minute walk we were able to reach sky ranch. We went inside and the view is so amazing. It's really beautiful. There were still a lot of people there because it's before the pandemic. We took a lot of pictures of the surroundings of the taal lake and the different amusement in that place. There was a merry go round and ferris wheel. There are a lot of people don't when there some are family some boyfriends and girlfriends and a lot of kids.

It was a very enjoyable day in tagaytay and an unforgettable one. We waited for the sun to set before we went home and we were able to witness one of the most beautiful sunset in the entire philippines. I really like sunsets because it gives me a feeling of completion, fulfillment and reminds me that there should be a time to rest and not just work and enjoy.

The latest photo was the sunset photo that i captured i waited for a couple of minutes to get that and i was really amazed of how beautiful the sunset in tagaytay is. If only i have a lot more time i would spend it there. My phone have a lot of money i'd like to get married in tagaytay. It's a weird dream that i know will not happen but there's no harm in dreaming. So that was a day in tagaytay you surely did enjoy it.
