Have you ever heard the phrase. Acceptance is the key to happiness? If yes, do you believe that it does?

Do you actually have feelings of resentment? Or on the other hand an outrage that you clutch for quite a while? A circumstance you would not like to occur, but occurs.

A relationship you would not like to end wether it's a friendship or a relationship with your partner yet it comes to an end. I know the feeling and now i just want to share how acceptance is significant and become the key to my happiness.

First, let us defind the word happiness..

As Mahatma Gandhi has said, "Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony." The smaller the gap between what you should do, and what you actually do -- the happier you will be.

So in order for us to be happy according to Mahatma Gandhi things we do should be in harmonize. But there's a thing in this world that we can't control.

There are life experiences challenges, problems, difficulties and disappointment that may come along with our journey. That often becomes the reason why we are angry or sad. That's the time it stop us to do things in harmony. Sometimes emotions control us and we carried away. We say things that we don't really mean. Done things that shouldn't be.

You still need to accept. you have to accept that you aren't always right. you're not perfect, the world isn't perfect. The people around you isn't perfect.

We make mistakes

And by the time we accept the very fact that there are numerous things during this world that we just don't have any control with, is that the time we realize, we have the control on one thing which is our happiness. we have to accept things even if it's hars. to be told from our mistakes, to understand that we simply don't have any control with all things and also to accept that we're vulnerable.

We can gain so much knowledge from our mistakes, and all it takes is the willingness to learn from them. We get to know what works and what doesn’t from each error we come across. Without mistakes, we lose countless opportunities to gain valuable knowledge and learn lessons.

Mistakes also trigger our creativity

When what we are attempting is not working, we look for a new solution, which enables us to think outside the box. Without mistakes, we lose chances of experiencing the creative side of ourselves.

Helping other people is not only good for them and a great thing to do, it also makes us happier and healthier too. Giving also creates stronger connections between people and helps to build a happier society for everyone.

We get to understand that adversity is needed to overcome challenges in life. We know then that being flexible is important, as we can’t move forward if we stay in the same place. Without making mistakes, we would stay in our comfort zone, which leads us to inflexibility when things don’t work the way we want them to.

“The man who makes no mistakes does not usually make anything.”

“The only sure way to avoid making mistakes is to have no new ideas”

—Albert Einstein

“The more we can embrace failure, the more we will be able to open to it and the more confident and resilient we will become.”

—William Connor Magee
