There are many ways you can help yourself recover and live a more life-fulfilling and healthy life than you did when you were depressed or when you're in a depressive mood. This includes taking steps to help yourself maintain a healthy and positive mood through:
✔ Changing your unhealthy behaviors: eat healthier, go to more physical activities and avoid becoming angry with others
✔ Living a healthier lifestyle and not relying on alcohol, drugs or other addictions: talk to your doctor about taking a cognitive behavior therapy tool.
✔ Avoiding dangerous and illegal behaviors: for example, stay out of areas where drugs are likely to be sold, and never share drugs with others
✔ Managing family stress and anxiety: get support from your family, friends and community, take a good shower and wash your hands. Try to find or create ways for people to support and encourage you.
✔ Avoiding destructive behaviors and negative thinking: for example, take a positive stand, be a friend to family, help your children
✔ Spending quality time with loved ones: give them space to express their feelings and feelings and be there for them when they need help.
Make sure that you are not trying to distract yourself, you may not realize the severity of your mental health problem until you try to distract yourself with other activities. Instead of trying to get off the phone, say, "Whoa, no, I am still feeling depressed. Can I take a shower? I still feel awful."
Moreover, exercise helps people with depression exercise more effectively. People with depression may have more trouble exercising than non-depressed people. One of the best ways for people with depression to exercise is through a physical therapist, especially someone who is an aerobic fitness instructor. Try to go to the gym as often as possible.
If you or someone you know is depressed, it's important to learn to recognize and deal with each of the symptoms, even when you feel depressed. It's especially important to learn to recognize symptoms when you are trying to help someone or something else that's depressed.
I know it is difficult to respond on things that put you in a difficult emotional situation. But remember, you are not alone you have your Family, friends or even your BF/GF.
