Whichever problem you are facing there is always a solution, as long you keep on digging you will find an alternative. Back in the days when there were more much tokens transaction fees were less and you could made a lot of transaction without thinking of charges. Now we have Tokens e.g ERC-20, Bep-20, TR20 and so many more and these for you to get them you have to swap them with another coin or token.
Problems Faced with Swapping
Swapping is a huge challenge on the Ethereum based tokens as they are charging exorbitant fees like $130 just to swap and the fees vary. Even if you want to invest in crypto tokens if you just think of the charges you will have second thought because its expensive. As for Bep20 or Tr20 token its very cheap to swap them as you are charged less and the problem is on Ethereum based Tokens.
The image below its of a transaction on Binance Smart Chain where i was swapping Ban with HIFI an the maximum network fee was $1.71 which is reasonable. With these gas fees you wont hesitate to swap tokens.
Then this one below its of Ethereum main-net an i wanted to swap NOW Token with CRO and the estimate gas fees was $103 and the maximum network fee was $189 for a transaction which is less than $40, is it normal to pay fees more than 4 times your investment?
Alternative Solution
The solution is to buy these tokens from an exchange its much better as the charges will be less. If you can check the image below we can see that for me to withdraw 100CRO i am supposed to pay 20CRO which is equivalent to $11.50. So i would rather deposit my coins on a centralized exchange like Binance, kucoin e.t.c then trade them there for tokens and withdraw to my wallet.
So buying tokens on a centralized exchange and withdraw it its much better than swapping token on decentralized exchange like uniswap or in web wallets like metamask. unless if its Bep-20 tokens or other tokens running cheap chains.
