We have been wanting to see this area for some time and we finally booked a few days. It turns out a few days was not enough. We plan to return. There is a yearly event called “Chief Joseph Days” in town that we wanted to do previously but the timing interfered with the Escapees Escapade that we had already booked.

But what a nice quiet very scenic little town. My wife and I enjoyed the walk up and down the main street just sightseeing.

5 Peaks RV Park

We stayed in a nice, small rv park next to the town, and within walking distance of main street. I give this place 5 stars. Full hookups and clean. Not much more you can ask for, and directly out the back there was a Mexican restaurant, which was very average, a 3 of 5 stars, but nice tables in the grass where you can sit outside while you dine. Our spot had a direct passage out the back right to this restaurant, or if you went straight or right, direct access to main street.

We went to a couple of restaurants while there. One of them was Embers Brewhouse which boasted a large selection of beer, my kind of place. I’d give it 4 stars out of 5. It was good but not great, only because of the average food, good, but not great. I’d return though, due to the large selection of beer.
