Here are the 4 reasons I feel the Nigerian military is stronger than the US military
1. MORALE
Morale is one of the strongest forces known to mankind and hasn't doubt the ability to influence a persons everyday decisions.
Undoubtfully, the Nigerian military has he highest morale found in any military worldwide. This has enabled them to accomplish incredible feats. Don't get me wrong, the US military has morale, but not like that of the Nigerian soldiers, they feel or believe that once they put on their uniform they can do and undo. Frankly, they don't fall under the authority of any other institute although stated in the Nigerian constitution, this is not true and no one can touch a Nigerian soldier except handed over to by the military.
Also, they are not subject to some laws that other people are subject to. THIS IS NOT EXACTLY A GOOD THING BUT IT IS TRUE, THIS GIVES THEM A FEELING OF BEING GOD LIKE.
2. WEAPONS
Nigeria clearly does not have as much weapons or any as sophisticated as that of the US, but weapons mentioned here is to state that this is not much of a factor as weapons could be bought and is in no way a permanent factor to ascertain the capabilities of a military.
Many also would like to list the US nuclear arsenal, but in my opinion, nuclear weapons are unavailable, reasons are
* Unnecessarily expensive to aquire or make.
*Unnecessarily expensive to maintain
*And practically useless, because if used in warfare, would attract world wide penalties or on the worst case senario,' a nuclear armagedon'.
Note that all these is only born out of opinion.
3. ACHIEVEMENTS
Nigeria's military has a long list of achievements regardless of the fact that it is 'reasonably young', some of its achievements includes its several peace keeping missions in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and it is still very active.
Nigeria was involved in the bringing down of an autocratic African leader and this was done using the military, without any fights or violence, but an intimidating show of military supremacy.
Nigeria's military has been active in the forefront in the fight against bokoharam and terrorism and insurgency in the North eastern part of the country and West Africa in general. Argueably, the war is one of Nigeria's longest because, it has so far spanned for over 10 years as of the making of this article. Conspiracy theorists has it that the only reason the boko haram is still active in the north east is because, it is a propaganda based war, just like a game of chess only that both sides are played by the same individuals.
4. ASSETS
Nigeria's greatest military assets are its personnel. Nigeria is creditted with 181,000 total military personnel, in a population of about 200 million meaning only the best of the best is allowed into the military, only 124,000 are active and 57,000 are reserved.
