Do you ever heard this school? I just wanna share how and when I entered this school without any tuition fee from our parents. After grade school we took the exam we are from different school. Then we took the interview they are finding students who are clever, average IQ and those children cannot afford by their parents for secondary. Luckily I passed the exam we are 4 in our school and only the 2 of us went there to studies.

This is where I learned swimming for the first time....We have a lot of basketball court and we play every sunday or free time...

That school is located in Cebu and I am from Iloilo. We ride on the ship for 12 hrs we did not bring anything only the clothes we wear and food to eat on that day. When we arrive in Cebu Port the school bus is already waiting for us. We are stil very happy excited but when the gates school opened I know I will miss my family my life would be very different that school was ruled by a nun and our founder is Monsignor Aloysius Schwartz, a missionary priest who dedicated his life to helping poor children, founded the Sisters of Mary on August 15, 1964 to serve the poorest of the poor. The Sisters of Mary owe their name to the Banneux pilgrimage site in Belgium, where the mother of God is honoured as the benefactress of the poor. The motto of the Sisters is 'Let us serve the Lord with joy!'

We lived on that building and the other side is our classroom....

The Sisters of Mary are recognised as a congregation by decree of the Catholic Church, and have the consideration of the Church as well as the State. They are headquartered in Biga, near Manila in the Philippines. We have also branch in other countries like Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil, Honduras and Tanzania. In each country, the Sisters are devoted to giving the impoverished children they help a better future by providing a safe roof over their heads, food, healthcare and education.

Under the care of the Sisters of Mary, the children enjoy a value-led education which provides a sound framework for the learning and development of capable and independent adults who, in turn, are able to support those in their local communities, extending the humanitarian aims of  the Sisters' programmes.

A lot of students came from different places in Visayas. They offered high value of education it is there I learned sewing, typing, dressmaking, programming, electronics and swimming. We are exclusive for girls we are from different mothers but in inside we consider each other a sisters. We have the other branch also in Minglanilla thats boystown. What we do everyday is study, pray, eat and play. Thats our daily routine for 4 years. We are the one sewing our clothes or sometimes the elder sisters will sew it for us. The food we eat is free from top to bottom the clothes we wear ,Our school supplies the food we eat is all free. We some benefactors from other country helping us. But now some of the graduates gather some cash to give back to the schools for the younger sisters too.

Im one of the lucky students who have the privilege to finish my studies my experience is very unforgetable that I will keep in my heart. In every place there will be scheduled of exam and dont hesitate to take it if you have some family members who really want to continue their studies for free.
