Where does our money go? How did we spent our money? A Lot of question coming in our mind. We work but we are not wise on how we spend our salary. Base on my experience this are the common thing we do as an ofw in hk. We have a higher salary compare to the other country. Why some coming home without savings or without an investment...In this topic I will share you some of the tips or ideas where does our earning goes....

1. Family

Family is the main reason why we work abroad to help our family. To provide the needs and wants give them the best that we can almost half of our money we sent back homes.

2. Loan

This is the common problem we encounter is borrowing money on the lending company. Why? If we have project like we build the house,buy the land or any property we need to borrow money to get the big amount. Which can help you also but one thing to be remember you must be resposible on paying it monthly.

3. SSS

Remember we are working our work here is not lifetime its just temporary so we are paying our insurance if we going back home someday we enjoy the benefits monthly. This will help us a lot especially if will get old.

4. Allowances

Every sunday is our holiday we spent money to buy foods for a day. Four to five times a week is our off to be with family or friends. Sometimes we are buying foods for a week if our boss is not generous enough to provide our food.

5. Savings/Investment

If how much money left on our salary thats the only thing we will put for savings. We save even a little amount incase of emergency we have savings to help us.

Handling a salary is difficult to budget but its your own technique on how to manage it. Dont spent too much more than what you earn always save 10% from your income. Dont go shopping always buy gifts for yourself if you have extra money on your pocket. This is how we budget our money as an OFW....
