5 examples of moral standards:
Always tell the truth.
Have courage.
Do not cheat.
Treat others as you want to be treated.
Do not judge
These five moral standards are valuable as it is part of being morally good. 1) Always telling the truth is crucial, whether it is good or bad, this practice should be observed at all times. Telling the truth does not automatically result to good things, as there are truths behind lies but being transparent will root many positive things. 2) Having courage above all, allows us to make decisions without fear and uncertainty. Courage is the one thing we all should possess as it is essential in our everyday dilemmas 3) Cheating, regardless of its form is automatically deemed as bad, cheating allows wrong things to go unnoticed. And it is not morally right, does not fit in the moral standards. 4) Treat others as you want to be treated. As the golden rule say, ‘do not do to others what you don’t want to do to you’. Clearly stating that, we shouldn’t do harm to others if we wish no harm to ourselves. Morally right, we should not inflict harm and wickedness to people as it will backfire to us. 5) Do not judge. Simple, if we do not wish to be judged by every decision we make, we should also consider other people’s dilemmas that led to a certain decision. This social standard directly falls under the morally-good category.
5 examples of non-moral standards:
Lying.
Being weak
Cheating
Treating others unfairly
Judging people based on their decision-making
These non-moral standards are just the opposite of the 5 moral standards I have given. Performing these however falls under the non-moral standards. It is not fit and ideal to be applied clearly, it violates lots of rights and basic moral upbringings.
