During the earlier times, Filipinos are well-known for being hardworking and progressive. It had become the most notable trait of Filipinos across the world. Aside from being hospitable as many different races attest, Filipinos are well-known geniuses for creating innovations on their own despite limited means. However as time progress, different cultural changes caused by colonizations brought some traits that Filipinos had adapted. During Rizal's time, some Filipinos were introduced to modernization, there are things easier to do than that of before. There are also introductions of hobbies like gambling, entertainment such as plays. Despite that, Filipinos did not entirely succumbed to indolence, there are still many contributions to culture and society Filipinos did during those days. However, today it seems as if Filipinos were entirely drawn to the modern life, adapting Western and different cultures in their everyday lives. The influences are much more noticeable nowadays. Filipinos did not have that authenticity they once have.
