1. Globalization- according to Anthony Giddens, globalization is not a single set of processes and does not lead in a single direction. It produces solidarities in some places and destroys them in others. It has quite different consequences on one side of the world from other. In other words, it is a wholly contradictory process. It is not about fragmentation, he see it more as a shake-out of institutions in which new forms of unity go along with new forms of fragmentation.
Globalization is not really all has its positive sides, as Giddens said it does not lead in a single direction, a country can feel its positive effects and some others don’t. More like an unhealthy relationship where one can give as many as possible but the other can’t reciprocate it. This could happen in between two partner countries. There are circumstances that it doesn’t really unify countries.
2. Globalization is the latest stage in a long accumulation of technological advance which has given human beings the ability to conduct their affairs across the world without reference to nationality, government authority, time of the day or physical environment.
It means that globalization, along with modern technology binds people across the globe. It unifies in a way without reference to whatever nationality, government and differences—the important thing is people can conduct and make their affairs possible even continents apart due to globalization.
3. Globalization refers to processes whereby many social relations become relatively delinked from territorial geography, so that human lives are increasingly played out in the world as a single place.
As stated earlier, globalization serves a as a glue, which sticks together different countries setting aside differences. It connects nations and makes them work on a single goal and single aim. Relationships between countries are made possible by globalization.
4. Globalization refers in general to the worldwide integration of humanity and the compression of both the temporal and spatial dimensions of planetwide human interaction. It has aggravated many of the region’s most chronic problems--- such as the pronounced degree of economic exploitation and social inequality.
It’s the worldwide integration and the solidarity of being open and being one of the many countries that comprises the globe. It has served as the platform for countries and the people in it to interact, interconnect and state own businesses. It is also a huge help in aggrevating chrnic problems such as the economic exploitation and social inequality. With a bigger platform, which is the globalization, countries can be heard and be helped out.
5. Globalization is a social process in which the constraints of geography on social and cultural arrangements recede and in which people become increasingly aware that they are receding.
It is a process in which people in every country seem to withdraw and move away because of the cultural arrangements that it creates uncertainties to the citizens. It is the social process that allows people to become aware that they cannot benefit much from the globalization taking place.
