The Story Of Buddha and Furiously man
Hi everyone!
Today's motivational story is "Buddha Says To Live In The Present Moment"
Once lord Buddha was giving a sermon in a village. He said, "everyone should be tolerated and forgiving like mother earth", anger is such a fire in which the angry one will burn others and will also burn himself. Everyone in the assembly was listening to the Buddha peacefully but there was also a person who was very angry by nature, who found all these things to be absurd he kept listening to all this for some time.
Then suddenly he stood up and started saying furiously to Buddha " You are a hypocrite, You always talk nonsense." "You just preach, but yourself do not implement them" you are confusing people these words of yours do not matter in today's world. Buddha remained calm even after hearing many such harsh words, he was neither saddened by his words nor did he react after seeing Buddha keeping his calm.
The person became even angrier and spat on Buddha's face but Buddha remained calm. He wiped his face very calmly with his robe and looked at the man with affectionate eyes, seeing Buddha keeping calm the man got more furious and left from there. The next day when that person's anger subsided, he started burning in the fire of remorse for his bad behavior and he reached the same place looking for Buddha but he could not find Buddha, because Buddha had left with his disciples to another village nearby.
The person asked people about Buddha and while searching he reached the place where Buddha was giving a discourse on seeing Buddha, he fell at his feet and said "Oh lord I am sorry, please forgive me" Buddha asked: who are you, my friend? What happened to you? Why are you apologizing? The man said: "Have you forgotten me...? I am the one who treated you very badly yesterday see I am the same person who abused you and spat on your face yesterday but now I'm ashamed of my behavior, I have come to apologize for my wicked conduct.
Lord Buddha said lovingly " My dear friend I live only in present" I have left yesterday there and you are still stuck in it, you have realized your mistake you have repented now you have entered today. By remembering bad things and bad events both present and future get spoiled, therefore don't spoil your today because of yesterday. Listening to these words of Gautam Buddha all the burden of that person was taken off, he renounced anger and took a vow of forgiveness by falling at the feet of Lord Buddha.
Buddha placed a hand of blessing on his head and from that day there was a great change in him and the stream of truth, love, and compassion started flowing in his life.
If we observe we will see that a great secret of living a happy life is hidden in this story. Buddha has given us a teaching of learning from our past mistakes and living in the present moment, many times we get sad and curse ourselves, again and again, thinking about some mistakes done in the past but we forget that no matter how many times we keep thinking about the past we can't change it, Post is gone, and it will never come back.
We should learn from our past mistakes and after realizing the mistakes we should resolve to never repeat them and strengthen the present with new energy.
