The Grind - motivational article
Have you ever seen a giraffe, like their body?
Does it look like a lion's body, when a lion is born and a giraffe is born are they born with that body?
When a lion is born it's not a lion, it's a cub, do you know what makes it look the way it looks.
Does anybody know what makes it look that way, what does a lion look like?
That's similar, but a giraffe doesn't look like that.
He chased the food so it is the process of hunting it's not the actual meat that makes him look like that it is the actual hunt, it's the actual chasing so whether he catches it or not every time he goes on the hunt he is developing some of you are so caught up on the game that you don't get it.
It is through practice, lifting weights, resting, eating right, and making good decisions that you look a certain way to make sure you get what I just said the quarterback doesn't look like a running back and a wide receiver doesn't look like a DT.
What's going on?
It is how you practice it is what you do that makes you look like you look it is the process of the grind that shapes you and forms you, it's not the game and that's why most of you all get beat in the game or make mistakes in the game because you think grinding is what happens when the sun comes out.
You think grind is what happened when the lights come on you think grind is what happened with people get on the stage that's not ground, the real gold is in the dark when nobody sees you.
When nobody knows what you're doing when you're studying without a coach or you're putting in those extra reps when you're watching those videos and you're getting inspired when you change your music.
A part of being a beast, just ain't eating gazelle, a part of being a beast is the hunts Is the hunt that they're excited about cause real lions like to hunt they love the process just as much as they love the prize and some of you all just want to score you don't like the process you're not in love with the process.
A real man working in the dark when no one is looking, a real man when the coach is watching ain't even watching he's studying film on his own because he loves the process, you've got to deploy patience and you've got to love the process I'm addicted to the process of the battle scars the setbacks I gave up my entire 20s, all of them.
Imagine not doing anything fun or going anywhere for the next eight years including Saturday and Sunday that's what I did from 22 to 30, you need to stop giving a shit about what anybody else has and realize that.
If you put your head down and just work for the next 10 years no glamor, no new car, suitcases, no new sneakers like work, you will have it and Every time you are concerned about one of the things I just mentioned, the process of obtaining it will be slowed.
