At that moment, he noticed a trainer nearby, and asked him why those big animals were just standing there and not trying to escape. The coach replied, “You know, when the elephants are young and much smaller than they are now, we used ropes of the same size to tie them up and they couldn’t break it because they were small. As they grew older, they became more and more accustomed to the fact that they could not escape. They believed that he could still keep them and that is why they are not trying to escape anymore. " The man was stunned. These big elephants can get rid of these ropes at any moment, but because of their belief that they cannot, they remain stuck and imprisoned there. How many of us, like these elephants, go through life holding on to the belief that we can’t do something because we once tried to do something and failed to do so? Nemojte da budete ko slonovi... VEZANI SLONOVI Jednom prilikom, dok je prolazio pored slonova, čovek zastade i začuđeno se zapita kako to da ova velika stvorenja bivaju zadržana samo malim užetom koje im se veže za prednju nogu. Nikakvi lanci, nikakvi kavezi, samo uže za koje je bilo očito da ga ovi slonovi mogu pokidati bilo kada, samo kada bi pokušali da pobegnu. Iz nekog razloga oni to nikada ne čine i čovek beše jako zbunjen tom činjenicom. U tom trenutku je primetio trenera u blizini, te ga upita zašto te velike životinje samo stoje tu i ne pokušavaju da pobegnu. Trener mu odgovori: “Znate, kada su slonovi mladi i mnogo manji nego sada, mi smo koristili uže iste veličine kako bismo ih vezali i oni ga nisu mogli prekinuti jer su bili mali. Kako su odrastali sve više su se navikavali na činjenicu da ne mogu pobeći. Verovali su da ih uže još uvek može zadržati i zato i ne pokušavaju više pobeći.” Čovek je bio zapanjen. Ovi veliki slonovi se mogu u svakom trenutku osloboditi tih užadi, ali zbog njihovog uverenja da ne mogu, ostaju tu zaglavljeni i zatvoreni. Koliko nas, poput ovih slonova, ide kroz život držeći se za uverenje da ne možemo nešto učiniti, jer smo nekada nešto pokušali uraditi i nismo uspeli u tome? Neuspeh je deo učenja; nikada ne smemo odustati od borbe u životu! 🙂
