Hello friends.

The ideals of freedom and justice for all, regardless of race, form the foundation of a brighter today, and future. For this reason, racial equality is very important, it is one of the pillars of freedom. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 was one of the best things to happen in the United States because it gave all people in this country the right to vote, and inspired many other nations to follow suit. For this great advancement in equality, we have to give thanks to the work and dedication of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

On January 17th, we celebrate the life and work of Dr. King, and how through hardships and oppression he fought to end racial segregation in the United States, and bring racial equality to all. He was truly a great man and an inspiration.

Have you ever stopped to consider how different the world would be if everyone wasn't judged by their race or their features? We know that's a pretty big question to even think about, but we mean it. All too often, we're treated based on what we look like instead of what we say or do. But have you ever thought about how different it would be if that wasn't the case?

Let's explore this topic with this week's challenge!

Today's challenge

For today's challenge, we are talking about freedom and equality. It is, in some ways, an abstract idea that has many shapes, feelings, and emotions tied to it.

It is a challenge for a reason... This week, in a post on D.Buzz, post a photo, image, story, quote, saying, or phrase that, to you, embodies the ideas of freedom and/or equality.

This challenge has a wide range of interpretations and there is no right or wrong response. We hope, however, that this challenge, in some small way, can spread awareness and bring us closer to MLKs dream.
