Welcome to a new week and a new Monday Mission!

Before we get to this week's mission, we wanted to take a second to say congratulations to all of our amazing contestants! We were absolutely blown away by the quality of all of the entries into our contest last week. Every single one of you did an incredible job, and we are so grateful to have had the opportunity to see your creative work. We sincerely thank you all for your participation, and we can't wait to see what you come up with next! We will review last week's posts a little later in this post. But for now, this week, a new Monday Mission!

The silly joy of making a scary face is something that we can all enjoy. It is a simple act that can bring a smile to our faces, and is a great way to release some of our pent-up energy. Making a scary face can also be a great way to get a reaction from others, and it can be a great icebreaker in a social situation.

Sure, it might not be the most sophisticated way to spend your time, but who cares? Making a silly face is a great way to let loose and have some fun.

A skilly or scary face can be made by following these simple steps:

1. Relax your face and jaw.

2. Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly through your mouth, making an "ahh" sound.

3. Open your mouth wide and stick out your tongue.

4. Roll your eyes back in your head as far as you can.

5. Make a scary or silly face!

Or, if you want to do it with makeup, there are a few simple steps to follow when creating a silly or scary face. First, start with a clean face. Next, using a black eyeliner pencil, draw a line from the outer corner of each eye, curving up towards the temple. Then, using a white eyeliner pencil, draw a line under each eye, extending outwards towards the cheekbone. Finally, using red lipstick, fill in the area between the black and white lines.

This week, it's all about making a silly or scary face by expression or by makeup!

Today's challenge

To honor the Halloween season this week, we challenge you to make and capture a silly or scary facial expression. You can do this by just making an expression on your face. If you feel more ambitious, you can grab your face paint and go to town!

There is no right or wrong way to make a silly facial expression or decorate your face - it's about having fun and getting into the Halloween season. :)
