Weekly Development Updates for D.BUZZ - Today: Team, Rewards, and new Settings.
Welcome to Tuesday.
New team members, rewards, and new settings. That is what we accomplished this week at D.BUZZ. Let's talk more about this.
First off, really, really, great news. Two developers who worked with us in the past, and who coded the initial architecture for D.BUZZ, have returned to work with us again! WAAAHOooo! That this has filled us with tremendous gratitude, and excitement at what they can do!
Both of these developers have a lot of experience working with our current code base, and are filled with ideas on how we could streamline, and push towards the next generation of D.BUZZ (this is the secretive, D.BUZZ v4, shhhhh). Most of last week and this week have been getting them up to speed and sorting out where we're going to go.
With these two new(old?) developers, along with our current rockstar dev, the future's looking bright!
Transparency Update.
Today we start a powerdown of 1300 $Hive. This power down over the next 13 weeks will be going towards buying different rewards tokens off the hive engine. The goal being, that we can then use these tokens, and reward authors who post on D.BUZZ in different, and more exciting ways, while supporting other projects on Hive.
If you have a token you would like to see us acquire, and consequently reward to people, post it down below in the comments and we will take a look!
New Settings:
As mentioned above, this previous week, we spent our time getting the devs harmonized and looking at future projects.
Along with this, we listened to feedback we received, and increased the control you have on what is embedded on D.BUZZ.
We have added to the current settings tab, the ability to turn on and off, embeds for link previews, and images.
Now it's even easier to see where people are sending you, or what urls people are embedding. We hope this will increase user enjoyment, and perhaps even security, by providing you greater control over how content is displayed.
If there is another setting you would like us to add, again let us know down below in the comments.
Below you'll find the "official" release notes.
