Weekly Development Updates for D.Buzz - Today: New Title options and other updates.

Welcome to Tuesday.

It is a slow week over at the D.Buzz offices. With Christmas passing and New Years coming up, a lot of our team is taking some downtime to be with family, and do holiday things, and that is a good thing. :) Even in the downtime however, progress is being made to move D.Buzz forward!

This week we were tackling an issue that causes some posts not to show up on the platform as they are over the 280 character count. It took us a little while to sort out why this was happening. As it turns out, it was due to the counter not counting the characters in the title. We rolled out a fix for this and are fine-tuning it to make it work better. Another update on this is due out in a few days.

Along with this, we looked at the title for buzz's and how they can be better integrated into the buzzing process. Now, when you click the add title button, a title box will activate on top of your buzz. Enabling you to type in the title as you want. We also caped the title at 60 Characters to better display on other front ends. We are fine-tuning this feature as well and should post another update on this soon.

Along with these updates, we address a few minor bugs and issues that were causing issues for some users.

The Delegation Script

The Automatic delegation script is taking longer than we planned. This is due to issues with people making new accounts, and we wanted to ensure people could not abuse the system. We may revamp the way we handle delegations to new accounts if we can't sort out these issues soon.

What's Next?

The next 2 items on our development list are adding video options for uploading (*much like images), and working on the SPK network integration for D.Buzz.

We believe both of these features will greatly advance the use, speed, and functionality of D.Buzz!
