Vote for our Hive Proposal

This week, we wanted to take the focus of patents, and how they can contribute to the world at large. We have one man to thank for the modern-day chicken nugget. Do you know who it is? Robert C. Baker, a professor of food science at Cornell University, invented the chicken nugget in the 1950s. However, at that time, he called it the "Chicken Crispie".

You'd expect that a man who created a delicacy so beloved around the world would have been very protective of his invention and taken steps to patent it. But Baker was different – he forwent the popular capitalist mindset and freely released his idea for academic study. He sent his remarkable food invention to hundreds of corporations with no patent protection, releasing it for everyone to enjoy. Today, thanks to that man, we have the chicken nugget. Yum!

Tuesday

We are putting the Philippine city of Davao on the Web3 map by sponsoring and attending events. Their aim is to raise awareness around the concept of Web3 through games and entertainment, giving back to the community that has welcomed us warmly. Also, we opened a proposal to the Hive fund to make DBuzz and our other dApps open-source, and for future developments to provide better services in the future. Read up on all this at the link. :D
