What's buzzing, friends?
An old wives' tale says that getting a baby to cry will bring that baby good health in life. There is no scientific evidence to support this claim, but it is a widespread belief nonetheless. Some people believe that the act of crying releases toxins from the body, which can improve health. Others believe that the sound of a baby crying can bring good luck. Whatever the reason, it is clear that many people believe in the power of a baby's cry.
So for good measure, let's also toss a sumo wrestler into that mix. So, get a sumo wrestler to get your baby to cry, and that baby will have good health and fortune.
Now, before you say "Hey, I think that the DBuzz writer lost his mind", this is an actual act that dates back hundreds of years.

At this event, each sumo wrestler will hold a spectator's baby and then make the babies do a mock sumo match. Some people say if your baby cries first, they win; others say if they cry last, they win. But the overall goal is to have your baby cry. In doing so, they will be blessed with a good life.
We have to think that having a sumo wrestler holding us, shaking us up and down, and bouncing our bellies into someone else's belly would make us cry too, so perhaps that is why we have a good life already.
