On The Spot Reward Summary, Week 89

Welcome to Saturday.
We take photos to capture moments of time and to record the changing world around us. Photos are a way to see the beauty in change. They can be a reminder of a time that has passed or a way to see the world in a new light. This week our community on DBuzz exemplified this view in the content they shared.
@luueetang, a long-time contributor to DBuzz, showed us the passage of time from the roaring 1920s till today, with photos of the first oil rig in Malaysia.
While, @richardslater quite literary showed us the world in a new light, with the infrared red photo they took of a forest. Amazing and wild. It's the perspective we have on a life that changes everything. The way we see things, and the way others see things.
A case in point is the photo that @reidenling90 took of someone eating an insect. To some people, that idea would be horrific, and to others, it's nothing strange at all, just tasty food to eat.
Just like the photo that @newhope1988 posted of a young child enjoying life, we are all just children, enjoying life, playing, and doing what makes us happy. This is one of the best components of living, the pursuit of being happy.
For @mizuosemla that happiness came, in the form of just hanging out on their friend's balcony looking at pleasant flowers growing and shining in the morning sun. It does look so relaxing!
The same could be said about @ditoferrer. They adventured into the world and while walking, discovered yellow flowers growing on the rocky landscape. Taking time to stop and smell the flowers is a phrase that many live by for a reason.
While adventuring into the world does increase your chances to find happiness, so does just waking up and looking outside at the rising sun as @guruvaj did in their post.
Even if taking photos is not for you, there are other ways to record time passing. You can draw a picture of a friend like how @chileng17 captured their friend's image so well! What better way to honor a friendship than by making art of that person you know.
Time also has a way to take those things that we have forgotten about and change them. Look at the photo that @koenau and you can see. A backhoe that was left, has become the canvas for people to express themselves. You have to wonder how in time, that will keep changing.
Time has a way to heal wounds too. @mehmetfix took a photo of a river that not too long ago, was green but now is clear and clean again. That is a great reason to take photos, document the changing world, and see that, at least in some ways, it's getting better.
We take photographs to capture moments of time that we will never be able to experience again. Photographs provide a way for us to look back on happy times and reminisce about the past. They also allow us to record the changing world around us and see the beauty in change.
