New Endpoint Server and LITE progress

Hello, D.Buzz development enthusiasts!

It has been a solid week over here at 'The Buzz'. While we did experience a short downtime due to the endpoint server having some issues with the database, it was quickly addressed, and the new endpoint server has been enabled and is now live. WooT!

This will improve performance and stability for all users. However, please report any issues to the support team if you still experience any.

This brings us to the update about bugs and functionality.

We take bugs and functionality seriously and prioritize addressing them. We know that our users rely on our services to work properly, and we take that responsibility seriously. We are constantly working to improve the quality of our services and address any issues that arise.

We have several members of DBuzz tracking bugs and issues that are current or ongoing. This list of bugs can be seen at : https://peakd.com/@savvyplayer/dbuzz-frontend-issues-and-suggestions, and also on our own internal tracking platform.

This being said, we try our best to balance addressing these issues with growth.

Case in point - we prioritized pushing the LITE development, and in doing so, not fixing some other outstanding issues. This difficult choice was made due to the limited development resources we have on hand, and what features we felt would help the larger community grow.

For example, we have issues with the 60-second video feature. However, not a lot of users have made use of this feature yet (*perhaps because it does not work all the time 🤔...), so we allocated development time more towards LITE. That could attract more users by way of the Metamask login feature, and draw people away from the ongoing dramas at the "Blue Bird" company.

By increasing the DAU (Daily Active User) count, we open up a lot of other doors that can benefit DBuzz and Hive.

Was this the best use of development resources? This case can be argued both ways. We like to believe it was a good choice.

In a lot of ways, we are an agile company that can shift its focus. Our company is able to adapt to new situations and find new ways to succeed. This brings us to the update roadmap for DBuzz.

  • After LITE is on the Next Platform (not on the main site, but open for public testing which is at https://next.d.buzz/), we will shift the development team to 100% stability and bug fixing.

  • Issues like videos are top of the list. The Dev team has a solution that they are also ready to try using the solution that is already used with images. Perhaps 2 to 3 days to implement.

  • After the bugs and functionality issues are addressed and the bug list reduced, we will decide on the next path.

  • It may be the $Buzz token, or other exciting development directions. Stay tuned on what's after that.

We are still about 2 weeks out from LITE being ready. We estimate that it will be around 2 or 3 weeks before we can start tackling the issues on DBuzz.

If you have questions about our development path, let us know. We're always happy to chat and answer any questions you may have. Our development path is always evolving, and we're always working to improve our process. We're always happy to hear feedback and suggestions from our community.

Thank you for your time.
