Ease of Reading updates!

Hello, D.Buzz development enthusiasts!

People like to read content that is clean, organized, and easy to find. When readers can navigate a website quickly and find what they are looking for, they are more likely to stay on the site and continue reading. A well-organized website creates a better user experience and can help increase web traffic.

We are excited to roll out the "Truncate long links in Buzz's" feature. This, while not splashy, is a subtle way in which your reading experience will be made better.

When you post a long link, that will show in full. This is great for transparency but bad for reading. (*No one wants to look at a 500-character link). With the Truncate long links in Buzz's feature, now, that long 500-character link will be automatically truncated down to the first few characters. BAM, easing reading all day long now.

To enhance security, more so with the now truncated links feature, when you do click a link to a source outside of DBuzz, a pop-up window will appear with the full naked link in it, so you can confirm if you do indeed want to go to that location.

Remember :

Scammers use fake links in phishing attacks to steal your personal information. Be careful when clicking on links in buzzes, even if they look legitimate. If you're not sure if a link is fake, double-check the link and make sure it is where you want to go. If the link looks suspicious, don't click on it.

Along with the ease of reading updates, we also spent time fixing a bunch of issues that will go a long way in the site's functionality. A big one is the repair of the Pockets feature.

Pockets are like groups of posts that you like. They can be yours, someone else's, focused on a topic, or just random posts. Add buzzes to pockets, then share that pocket with the world... or not. The critical takeaway here is that they are now, again, working well. WOOT!
