For instance, you could explore things from the perspective of the child ringing the doorbell, as anticipated. What thoughts are running through their imaginative mind? Are they hoping for a full candy haul or dreading rotten fruit?
Or pivot the story down an eerie path – perhaps no one answers the door, and the child ventures inside the creepy house. Fiction is meant to be unpredictable!
The point is having fun with the prompt however it inspires you. Let your imagination run wild! If a darker twist on trick-or-treating intrigues you more this Halloween season, go for it.
