Just a few blossoms...
In spring, Japan turns pink and white! Many places grow cherry blossom trees, but in Japan they are grown in such number that the entire landscape changes for a week or two (or more, if we're lucky) in spring every year.
They are planted like this along this river for another eight kilometers (~5 miles). The city claims it is over one thousand cherry trees! I haven't counted to confirm that number, but it is quite a lot.
It's quite something to take a walk under.
Covered might be an understatement.
