Life is quite surprising. We never know why we can be born in this world, we are never given a choice in which part of the world we will be born in, we never even know how long we will stay in this world. A certainty that I believe is what we have the choice to become and how we live.
I do not want to be absorbed in religious dogma which is considered by the majority of people to provide answers about our anxieties in going through life. Yes, religion gives a little insight into how we should ideally live and what is our purpose for being born into this mortal world.
The world is mortal, it is just play and pranks. That's a word of God in one of His verses. Is that true? Yes, but in a game it takes seriousness. It's the same as in the game of football. We all know that football is just a game, but to win a football match we also have to be serious.
In a game, there must be losers and wins. Likewise life, the loser goes to the pain of hell and the winner enjoys the beauty of heaven. No human being wants to lose, and vice versa, all human children will want to taste the freshness of victory. To win a game other than seriousness, of course, requires a strategy or tactic. The problem is, in life, what strategy or tactics are right?
Surely there is a substantial recipe that applies to all humans. However, even if the strategy or tactics for navigating through life are substantially the same, they do not mean they are the same in appearance or coverage. It's no secret that humans are unique, no human is the same, even though they are identical twins. The difference is a certain thing, every human being has information in different genes plus life experiences that are impossible to be the same and ultimately affect the human mind.
Twins can't have the same experience. For example, even though sleeping in the same bed, the twins can't look at the same object. These small differences of course result in a different experience. That is why it takes a different life strategy or tactic for all humans.
The packaging on the recipe for life is the way to live life, while the content or substance of the recipe is the intention. In some of the literature that I have eaten, I have concluded that the substance of the recipe is living for others, not just thinking about gain and loss for oneself. The things we do for ourselves die with us, while the things we do for others and the world will endure with the world itself.
The way to achieve the goal which is the manifestation of that value is different. Some have gone through it by becoming religious, scientist, businessman, farmer, and others. We must find the right recipe wrapper and according to our needs to navigate life happily. If you have walked through life with pleasure, it is not difficult for us to taste the contents of that recipe.
The recipe wrappers are procedures for dealing with worldly problems, while the contents of the recipe are procedures for preparing provisions for a real-life afterlife in this mortal world ends. Don't almost all religions teach that the best way is the middle way? We are not encouraged to just live in the world or eat the recipe packets, but we are also not encouraged to play around in this mortal world and think only about life after death. If I'm not mistaken, the Prophet Muhammad SAW once said "Worship as if tomorrow you will die and work as if you will live another thousand years".
The Scriptures are often cited as the best recipe for living the game of life. The holy book is the best-selling book and is always read by mankind. In this era of materialism, it is unfortunate that humans only read the holy book in a textual manner, this is what in my opinion makes mankind farther away from the essence of the holy book.
Scripture is like two blades, if misused it will be very dangerous as it is today. The scriptures are only a political commodity for personal gain. But used properly, scripture will lead us to an extraordinary recipe for winning the game of life. As with fire and water, if adults understand very well their benefits, water and fire are very helpful for human life. On the other hand, if done by the wrong people, water and fire will bring tremendous calamity.
Yes, we must be smart in choosing a strategy to win a game of life. The packaging and contents of the winning recipe are equally important to achieve the safety of this world and the hereafter. Until now, I am still looking for the winning recipe and hopefully, I will not tire of searching and not fall into mundane pleasures which means defeat in the game. Because the results of winning and losing can only be seen after this game of life is over. Yes, after we close our eyes for the last time and wake up seeing real life, eternal life after physical death.
Ah, this article is again a bedtime because sometimes the mind continues to wander even though the body is tired. Hopefully, this bedtime writing can land on the reader's mind so that my reflections can be of use to many people. It cannot be denied that there are many mistakes in this paper, but it's okay because the opinion is not a mistake.
