Astigmatism

today i came from my ophthalmologist because since yesterday im having headache when i use my old glasses the doctor told me Astigmatism." whaatt?? i have that?? " that is my reaction because last year when i go to ophthalmologist they dont say anything about that. but the doctor said i dont need to worry because is just only small part of my eyes. anyway i want to share what is astigmatism

Astigmatism is a common vision problem caused by an error in the shape of the cornea. With astigmatism, the lens of the eye or the cornea, which is the front surface of the eye, has an irregular curve. This can change the way light passes, or refracts, to your retina. This causes blurry, fuzzy, or distorted vision

Symptoms of astigmatism include:

1. Partial blurry vision.

2. Blurred vision at all distances.

3. Distorted vision.

4. Eye strain and discomfort.

5. Tired eyes.

6. Headaches.
