Tips to maintain your healthy lifestyle

Hi, have a blessed day ahead everyone! It’s good to be back in action. I’ve been busy this few days ago and as always, nothing new.

Today I am going to share some advice to monitor and improve your health every day!

Please read it carefully.

• In the morning, before you wake-up. Do not suddenly get up on your bed especially if you have problems like dizziness or “nahihilo” in Tagalog. The best thing to do is to do some “muni–muni” while lying in your bed and go to your side or “tumagilid” then gradually in sitting position. This is to explain to prevent sudden drops of BP (blood pressure) that may cause hypotension. Everyone should practice it even you don’t have a health problem.

• Do personal hygiene like washing your face with water to eliminate dust came from your bed, tooth brushing, and do some mild massage on your face. This boosts your self-confidence.

• Do not skip breakfast! This is to encourage everyone to eat at least to restore energy and nutrients in your body. Some people skip breakfast because of some of their reason like busy to work, some they didn’t feel hungry and others says they’re on a diet! Well, that’s not an excuse.

• Eat some healthy foods like vegetables, fruits, fish, low cholesterol, high in fiber, etc. to maintain your overall healthy diet.

• Do regular exercise this will also improve your metabolism and strengthen your muscle.

• For adults, regular checking of your BP to prevent a sudden attack of pre-existing illness or condition, checking your temperature and other stuff to monitor your health condition.

• Have some discussion with your family at least. It will help a strong bond and maintain good communication with them. You can also watch a movie together, sing with them, or do some outdoor activities just within your vicinity.

• Have enough sleep. Appropriate sleeping hours are 7-8 hours for young and at least 6-8 hours for an adult. You can take a nap in the afternoon.

• Drink plenty of water a day to maintain your body hydrated.

• Take a bath every day for good hygiene to remove dirt, reduce the incidence and spread of disease. It also reduces bad odor.

• Give yourself a reward after hard work. This is to motivate your behavior, making you feel good and happy.

• Lastly, do not forget to pray and thank God for all the blessings that you have received every day.
