My Day ~ How Is Yours
On every other weekday it would be the quiet of the night slowing merging into the chirping sounds of the honking traffic and foot stampedes of the early hour commutes.
Today's curtain opens steamed up smokes bottled for long hitting the train tracks, people so pissed off with the downturn of the sparring economy.
Invisible placards mirroring unspoke words of dissatisfaction with the state of things, a plague of rats in wheels mud racing in a pursuit of happiness stuck within 4 shifts of jobs, hoping to build a better six packed abdomen for when the the next bill jabs back.
The injustice in the tapestry like a gavel to a blind law system, enthronement now largely by selection, and the people's opinions are just ink to a sticky note of to dos that are never peeled off the notice boards along with a heat map of pending and ongoing projections.
Exchanges monopolized to feed the elites clearly living on cloud nine, while the nine to fivers getting beat down with the reality of it. Constantly getting gaslighted with hikes in pump prices, motorists making SMEs of every opportunity and E-commerce doubling the effects.
Sit-downs with the powers that be just a spitting battle brawl of weighted blank promises brewing back a cauldron of unequally scaled milestones completions. In another two cycles the episodes reels back to muffled banters and chants of displeasure.
Water gates of emotions electrified with pacifiers to the month, another tear drop into an ocean of unresolved chaos weaned into another cycle of same blank promises.
How is your day?!
My day is fine. No one dares to come over where I live. You can keep the curtains closed, enjoy the sun and let the world turn around without you.
