This article is all about SINADYA SA HALARAN FESTIVAL.
SINADYA sa HALARAN is two merged festivals, Roxas City's Sinadya(celebration) and Capiz Province's Halaran(offering).
The Capiznon festival is usually held from the 3rd to the 8th of December. It celebrates among other things the Prosesyon sa Suba (Fluvial Procession) where the image of the Immaculate Conception is sailed through the evening waters of Panay River before being led to the city cathedral.
Currently, the province of Capiz consists 16 municipalties and 1 city. Most of its municipalties join the Sinadya sa Halaran, each sending colorful contigents to compete at the last day of the festival.
At night there are food bazzare at the plaza showcasing seafoods. After all we are the Seafoods Capital of the Philippines.Tourist gather at the plaza to drink and eat to their hearts content. But this year, it seems that there will be no celebration because of the covid 19 pandemic. We just hope and pray for this crisis to end for us to go back to our usual lives. And of course to celebrate Roxas City's Sinadya sa Halaran.
Looks so beautiful 😍
