While this is said to children to reduce the pressure they feel, you mustn't forget the truth in the process. Because the fact is that results are what matter.

People need to be more result oriented, if not they'll take things for granted. Imagine that you asked a child to do an assignment, and every time, the child scores zero. Instead of wondering what's going wrong, you're encouraging that child that it's the efforts that count.

Let me put it clear right here - efforts count for nothing if the result expected is not achieve. If you're an athlete representing your country, your aim is to bring a medal home. If you're all talk talk talk, and in reality, you don't win nothing. Then your words hold no weight.

Especially as a businessman, you cannot afford to be deceiving yourself. This is because, a man who consoles himself with statements like - the results doesn't matter is very much deceiving himself greatly. The undeniable fact about this world we live in is that everything is judged by results. Calculated input, expected output.

If you claim you're a smart businessman, then show a prove for that statement. If you claim you're the best student in your class, then show me your grades. We must start to be seriously result oriented. Being a goal getter means that you always achieve the desired results you had in mind - and that is what truly matters.
