Butties you gotta try!
Days aren't complete without us thinking about what to eat even right after eating. Do you ever find yourself in the kitchen searching for whatever is available to munch on without feeling hungry? If the answer is yes, then you're not alone! It has become commonplace for most of us to eat out of boredom. What's frustrating about it is to think about what exactly we want to eat. Since we don't always see that little thought coming, we often don't have anything both on our mind and in the kitchen.
If you live in a city where food delivery platforms are at your fingertips, good for you. You can just grab your phone, click, click, and voila! Your food is all ready for you to enjoy. But for some of us living in the suburbs, it's kinda hard to find food stalls that offer door-to-door delivery. And if you're working from home the whole day with only short breaks in between, it's almost impossible to make a complicated meal.
When I want to snack on something at home, I make use of whatever is in the pantry. You know the ready-to-eat ones: biscuits, bread, chips, name it! But if I want to feel a bit extra and make myself think that I have fairly put an effort into my food, I make myself butties! Wonder what butties are? A butty is a term used to refer to bread with butter but is now used as British slang for sandwich. (Butty: butt for butter)
I'm gonna share with you my favorite kinds of butties to have at home that are oh-so-easy to make.
1. Peanut Butter-Banana Sandwich
Grab whatever sliced bread you got. It's better if you have it a bit toasty. Spread it with your favorite peanut butter and put banana slices on top. And that's about it.
2. Avocado-Egg Sandwich
You can actually make this with avocado slices but I prefer mine with fairly mashed one. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper on your mashed avocado. Mix, and spread it on your toasted bread. You can stop there, but you can always add a sunny-side-up egg on top if you want.
3. Ham Sandwich
I mean all of these sandwiches are a no-brainer, especially this one. You need some toasted bread, cheese, ham, sliced cucumber, and tomatoes for this one and you're good to go!
4. Grilled Cheese sandwich
The easiest of them all. Grab your favorite cheese sheets. Throw it on your bread and toast em! Voila! You're done.
Thank you for reading, friends. If you haven't tried any of these, this is a sign to make one! Have a great weekend, everyone! Ciao!
