Good morning 🌻

Even though I have a heavy head today, I just slowly write an article for this day. Well, this will be the last in the series of Periodic Table of Elements. Have any idea?💡

Well these are the last two element I am going to share. "I" for Iodine and "Am" for Americium.

Iodine (chemical symbol I)

Atomic Number: 53

Atomic Mass: 126.904 g/mol

Electronegativity based on Pauling: 2.66

Density: 4.93 g/cm³

At typical conditions, Iodine exists as a semi-lustrous, non-metallic solid that melts to produce a deep violet liquid at 114 degrees Celsius and boils to form a violet gas at 184 degrees Celsius. Discrete diatomic molecules exist in the molecular lattice, as well as in the molten and gaseous phases.

Iodine is a mineral that can be found in a variety of foods. Iodine is required for the production of thyroid hormones in the body. Hormones regulate the body's metabolism and a variety of other functions. Thyroid hormones are also required for normal bone and brain development during pregnancy and childhood.

Americium (chemical symbol Am)

Atomic Number: 95

Atomic Mass: 243 g/mol

Electronegativity based on Pauling: -

Density: 13.67 g/cm³

Glenn Seaborg, Ralph James, Leon Morgan, and Albert Ghiorso worked together at the University of Chicago to create Americium in late 1944. In a nuclear reactor, plutonium was bombarded with neutrons to create americium. The isotope americium-241, with a half-life of 432 years, was created as a result of this.

Americium is a metal that is extensively used in smoke alarms but has few other applications. It has the potential to one day be employed in spacecraft batteries. Currently, plutonium is used, but due to a lack of supply, other options are being studied. It's interesting because it's part of the nuclear power generation decay sequence. Americium also is used as a radiation source in medical diagnostic devices and in research.

And thay concludes this series! If there's some element you're interested about I can create an article regarding that hehe. Thanks for reading all the way here.

Actually I chose these element for this series because I want to create some phrase and this is

I Am Cu Te

Hahahha just me playing with the elements 😂 don't tell me I am a Lithium Argon because am not huhu

There are a lot of words or phrases you can create using chemical symbol to level up your creativity 😉

With love and curiosity,

curiouscat, Charlotte
