Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has lost faith in eight players after Shakhtar tremendous loss

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has a big job on his hands to turn things around at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid: Zidane assesses display at shock loss to Alaves

Real madrid manager Zinedine Zidane  has reportedly lost faith in eight members of his first-team squad. Real are in serious danger of failing to qualify for the knockout stage of the Champions league for the first time in their history.

Following Tuesday's 2-0 loss at Shakhtar Donetsk, Los Blancos are third in Group B and need to beat Borussia Monchengladbach next week to maintain their 100 per cent record of getting past the group stage in Europe's elite club competition.

Real's form in La Liga isn't much better, with Zidane's side fourth in the table and seven points behind leaders Real Sociedad.

Zidane is adamant he will not resign and is determined to turn things around at the Bernabeu club.

But reports from Spain claim the France legend is not happy with eight of his players.

Spanish outlet sport names Eden Hazard as one of those players, with the former Chelsea star having played just 28 games in all competitions since his arrival from Stamford Bridge in 2019 due to constant injury problems.

Norway international midfielder Martin Odegaard and Brazilian duo Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior are also on the list.

Zidane is also said to have lost faith in two of his most experienced players - left-back Marcelo and midfielder Toni Kroos.

Spanish duo Marco Asensio and Isco complete the list of eight, with the latter linked with a move away from the club in January.

Real lost 2-1 at home to Alaves on Saturday before the midweek defeat against Shakhtar.

But ahead of this weekend's La Liga match at Sevilla, Zidane is adamant he can turn things around.

“I am not going to resign – not at all," Zidane said.

“We have always had delicate moments. It is true that it is a bad streak in terms of results, but we must continue. [Tuesday] was a final, we prepared very well, but we know there is a game to go and we have to win and that's it.

Estadio Santiago Bernabau still awaits their visitors "seville" as one of the token for Zidane to determine his faith in Madrid.
