What really strikes me as wonderful about this new dynamic in global economies is, the elevation of certain people's income in other countries. For me in the US, earning a few tips in Noise.cash or some other social media crypto website may not mean much. Just a few nickels and dimes.
--But for a person who has struggled most of their life to buy bread or soup for their family, living in reclaimed wood housing with a tin roof overhead and dirt for a living room "floor", that "nickel and dime" in crypto makes them feel an extraordinary relief from the burden of an inequitable system within their own country.
In actuality, it is life transforming!
Currencies are supposed to aid in fluid transaction between individuals, so civilizations can grown and expand. But it doesn't always work that way when greed and power comes into play. Governments set up trade to benefit themselves, or family members, while bringing great devastation to their subjects -- the very people transforming and building their civilization!
Some of the totalitarian aspects of quasi-democracies have led to hyperinflation in numerous episodes this century. But a decentralized system of currency with transparent ledgers is such a game changer, it's like going from a stifling desert to an oasis with fountains and regular drizzles of rain.
I feel this comparison is truly stark in other countries, but maybe we will see more of this in the US as well when more people discover what it's like to exchange value through cryptocurrencies on transparent ledgers and largely without middle men.
For now, I'm grateful that so many families are discovering crypto in their countries (where it may not be banned) and thriving with the opportunities it provides to cover their medical expenses, food and shelter expenses, and perhaps even allows them the luxuries that we so often take for granted in the US.
