Taylor Swift Has the Best Metaverse
As a reminder, it’s time to vote for your favorite projects in the Presearch Advertising Grant competition. I’ve got some stiff competition, so I’m going to ask you to do three things for me:
Vote, if you haven’t already, for Cryptocracy. You must have an active Presearch account. If you don’t have one, it’s free. You can sign up here. If you have 1,000 or more PRE, your vote will receive a 10x multiplier. And the best part is you can hold those in an external on-chain wallet. You’ll find me in the “Other” category at the end of the voting list (there are 10 categories).
The second thing I’d like you to do is share the voting opportunity with your friends. Anyone you know, let them know about the contest and ask them to vote for Cryptocracy (plus anyone else you like in the other categories—only one vote per category).
Third, please share the contest on social media.
Winning this contest would mean a lot to me. I’m trying to maneuver myself out of freelance work and more toward full-time entrepreneurial content creation. What that would mean to you is I could spend more time focused on improving Cryptocracy content. So, if you like what I’m doing and want to see more of it, and you’d like to see it improve, help me win this vote. That’s all I’m asking.
As you may know, Hive is one of my favorite decentralized social media platforms. They’ve recently announced Hardfork 26, which they call “Evolution.” It includes several significant protocol updates.
Today, I’m going to touch lightly on the news, so there will be fewer links. Please know that I am reconsidering the posting schedule for Cryptocracy and one thing I’m contemplating is no more Saturdays. Should I do that, and I likely will, I’ll be posting Monday through Friday. That means five days a week, not four. If I do that, I’ll mix up the content a bit and not just do news curation. More on that later as I hash out the details. Your comments are welcome.
Today’s Crypto News
Bitcoin’s volatility is now below Nasdaq’s and the S&P 500, for the first time since 2020. Bitcoin has been flatlining lately, but it’s not dead.
The man who coined “Web3” and created Polkadot, Dr. Gavin Wood, is stepping down as CEO of Parity Technologies. Evidently, calling the shots doesn’t make him happy.
I don’t know what it says that Nevada is the No. 1 state for crypto enthusiasts. Maybe it’s because the cathouses accept crypto. Or maybe it’s the casinos. Either way, California is third and Texas is tied with a “new” state for fourth. A state where marijuana is legal is fifth. Sex, one-armed bandits, and water bongs … everything you need for a crypto party.
Crypto in Asia: China still has one of the strongest crypto economies in the world, even if the state doesn’t like it. Japan is relaxing its crypto rules. Hong Kong completes its central bank digital currency (CBDC) prototype. Hong Kong’s CBDC is unique among the nations.
This article doesn’t go real deep, but it doesn’t need to. It’s a bare-bones instruction guide for starting a DAO. The meat is in the four types of DAOs that are profitable.
Taylor Swift has created the best metaverse ever, and it’s not what you think. If you want to understand what a true metaverse is all about, read this article. It has nothing to do with technology. Every decentralized social media platform developer, founder, and team member should study Taylor Swift. Hey, if you’re not a Swifty, you’re not very nifty!
Snark and commentary in italics. Inclusion of an item does not mean I agree or endorse the ideas presented. Of course, it also doesn’t mean I don’t.
Catch you on the flip side.
